3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 adnielsen (6553) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - NOV 2, 2010
Tasted on tap at the International Tap House in St. Louis, Missouri. Dark orange-brown appearance (a bit off for a Stout). Nice sweet stout aroma . Flavor is pretty smooth but dark malts aren’t as obvious in the flavor as a stout should be.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 14/20 Cletus (6187) - Connecticut, USA - JUL 7, 2005
Black with a large foamy tanish brown head. Initially, aromas of bananas, roasted malts and brown sugar poke out. As the head slowly settles out, a chocolatey aroma starts to poke in. Tastes nutty with some nice chocolate and coffee notes. Excellent tangy mouthfeel. Finish is on the nutty side with a remnant of chocolate.
3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Dogbrick (6178) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - JUL 20, 2004
This beer is an opaque dark brown (almost black) color with a medium beige head that dissipates slowly. Thin curtain of lacing throughout the glass. The aroma is very roasty, with coffee and dark chocolate. Medium-bodied and closer in consistency to a Porter than a Stout. Roasted coffee at the forefront, with molasses, chocolate and some hops in the flavor. The finish is mildly bitter and roasty. Overall this is a pretty good Stout, but it is lacking richness.
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 Rastacouere (6058) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - JUN 5, 2008
Objectively speaking:
Straightforward chocolatey, rather thick oatmeal stout.
I like:
No roast astringence, yet full on roasted flavours.
I dislike:
Not much oatmeal influence. Light-medium bodied for the style. Not all that aromatic.

Bottle. Chocolate malt and espresso aroma. Dark brown with small head. Creamy dark chocolate and coffee/cola flavor. Nice chocolatey aftertaste. Good stuff.

Bottle 355 ml
Aroma … This is quiet nice! Big smooth warming roast of barley , cocoa with hints of darkness paired with elements of Arabica. Refreshing and relaxing.
Appearance stoic black with off shade hinted with brown. Light top. 4-
Flavor and Palate : Listed as 15 Plato brew yet with only 5.2 % of alcohol. Medium bodied , perfect work on dark malts. No off flavors of any kind. Simply straight clean roast that easily was carried till very end. If only one perhaps negative aspect would be slightly light body for style that was noted especially at the end.
3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Ibrew2or3 (5823) - Tempe, Arizona, USA - JUN 12, 2010
Courtesy of Blazer06. It pours dark brown with copper edges and tan head. The aroma is sweet with malts and black licorice, dark roasted malts, some black patent malts and cinnamon. The taste is smooth, sweet and earthy. I get dark roasted malts, black patent, a touch of chocolate, a strata of earthiness and a touch of charred malts. Yum!

Tap at Paradiso Dupont. Better than I expected, it pours a near black more deep ruby brune with a light sandy yellow head. Nice nitro looking retention and sheety lace. Aroma is Whoppers milk balls, milk chocolate. Taste is ashy, bitter, cherry syrup, tobacco. Thinner palate. Eh.
