COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This stout is sheer beer poetry. Let it warm to about 45 F and pour it into a glass to fully experience its rich, roasty flavors and hints of coffee and chocolate. One glass and you’ll agree: The Poet is truly a rich, creamy brew of epic proportions.

Very dark, almost black in color. Practically no head. Aroma and taste is typical of an oatmeal sweet. High in maltiness and chocolate. Not bad.

Bottle picked up this summer; poured a dark, cola brown with a small to medium light brown head. Aroma of roasted malt,/coffee milk sweetness and hints of chocolate. Just slightly thin on the palate, but the palate was nice overall. Flavor had some light chalkiness in the finish. Flavor was a blend of chocolate, roasted malt, oats and sweetness. Easy drinking and solid brew.

Not as rich as I was expecting for a stout. Otherwise, it was a pretty decent drink.

On tap at brewery, pours a very dark color with a thick tan head, has nice smooth chocolate aroma and very roasty flavor, overall this good but seems a little thin.

Bottle. Pours black, but clear and thin looking under a medium sized beige head. Chocolate and vanilla, big sweet oats. Flavors follow the nose with chocolate and vanilla. Decent overall, nice sweetness, chocolate and roast on the finish.

Bottle from Cavie. Black pour with a light brown head. Aroma is sweet, malty, and full of chocolate. Taste is bitter, dry, and very roasted. The finish hits very late with a nice chocolate/coffee finish.

Black pour with a huge brown head. Aroma of coffee and sark chocolate. Flavor is dominated by coffee, which is not my preference. Burt finish.

Black pour, thick brown head. Aroma of coffee and hops. Flavor seems to be a decent mix of coffee and hops as well, with an even balance giving this beer a nice finish.
