Bottle. Orange peel, coriander, and wheat malt aroma. Golden yellow with giant white head. Sweet over-ripe orange, yeast, and wheat/barley malt flavor with lightly bitter coriander and pepper finish. Unique.

Poured into a perfect pint. 3.5 A: Moderately hazed brownish dark yellow color. One finger of frothy white head. Retention is a touch below average and a short ring of lacing is left. 3.5 S: I thought this was a witbier when I bought the bottle, but I couldn’t have been more wrong (well, maybe if this was an imperial stout I would be more wrong). This is a Belgian IPA for sure. It’s intensely hoppy, offering tons of resiny, floral, earthy, and citrusy aromas. Every sniff results in a different subset of the hop aromas coming out. Peppery yeastiness with hints of clove. Light breadiness, but otherwise clean. Bit of sugariness from the hops. Quite pleasant. 3.5 T: Like the nose there’s a strong hoppiness in the taste though it doesn’t pop as much. Citrusy, herbal, floral, and earthy in that order. Mild bitterness. Light peppery spiciness and even less clove. Bready maltiness that is enhanced by the yeast. 3.5 M: Medium body. Good moderate carbonation. Only slightly creamy with a slight bite from the carbonation. Good enough. 3.0 D: Decent beer, but I was looking forward to drinking a wit. Oh well, I know now. Give it a try. Hazy golden yellow with a white head. Crisp with a bit of citrus tartness. Smooth, woody, yeasty. Fairly dry in the end.

Bomber. A hazy dingy golden beer that has sediment suspended. Little white head. Yeast and pale malts in the aroma. Hops lead the flavor profile with fruity bitterness. They are also earthy and herbal. I taste citrus and tart apples. Yeast with spice and pepper flavor. Hops come more to the forefront as this warms which adds to the interest factor. This is hoppy for the style but is nice. The lower ABV is appreciated.

UPDATED: OCT 21, 2012 A nice light IPA. As with all these hatter series beers, head explodes up when poured. Equal notes of IPA and spicy belgian Witbier flavor. Nocely done. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Refrigerated brown bomber 2012 vintage poured inot a weizen glass. Pours translucent light orange with deep golden highlights with small white head. Some bib bubble lacing, medium body, and pine aroma. Taste is grapefruit, some pine, and slightly bitter hop finish. Pretty good, but how is this not an IPA.

Bottle. Hazy gold pour with a tall foamy white head. Aroma is odd. It’s rather herbal and floral with strong yeast and fruit notes. Very unique for a Wit. Taste is floral hops, herbal notes, soft grains, flowers, tropical fruit, strong yeast notes, soft spice, and light citrus. Body is light-medium with a moderate, bubbly carbonation. Ends with more flowers, yeast, tropical fruit, grains, toasted malt, floral hops and herbal notes.

Classic orange peel and coriander nose, good strength. Clear amber, medium head, fair lacing. Coriander and bread crust flavor, hints of rosehip. Breadiness intensifies then fades to a lengthy finish.More spicy when quaffed. Not dull at all, very good wit.

Bomber bottle bought 6/12 from Binny’s for $4.99. Does pour hazy, pale and cloudy (yeah, a little redundancy over there). Carries a nice, malty smell slightly tempered by hop and, I think, anise. Taste is malt forward, with hop notes only slightly behind. Citrus hops, with lemongrass in the spice sachet, and maybe that’s the usual coriander. Yeah, a slight touch of soap or lavender at the end. Still, I can’t help but find this interesting.

Bomber. Pours a cloudy, golden color with a very thin white head. Aroma: Soft combination of citrus and floral hops with a hint of doughy yeast. Taste: Toned down floral hops, sourdough with lemon grass tones. A bit of a sour, soapy taste lingers. More towards a watery texture with average carbonation. An interesting tasting combination but not something I need to have again.
