Bottle. Nose of light white grains and a good deal of spice, most obviously coriander and orange peel, grains of paradise. Golden body with a thin white head. Taste is dry and very tart, grains of paradise taking the lead and followed by puckering floor cleanser. Slightly rubbery full body, hops are cleansing but there isn’t a ton to like there.

ChainGangGuy (4474) - Marietta, Georgia, USA - APR 12, 2013
Appearance: Pours a hazy, gold body with a smallish, brief, white head.

Smell: Soft, faintly toasted wheat malt notes and a touch of yeasty dough with the range of spices utilized here atop the floral, citrusy (in addition to the citrus peelings in the spice repertoire) hops.

Taste: Malted wheat in the fore with a thin sliver of sweetness and slight dough accent before the blitz of spices, hop flavor, and bitterness crackled over the tongue. Feels like there are a few too many members of the spice blend, then, when added to the resiny, leafy, citric hops, the flavor ends up a bit muddled and a bit medicinal. Drying, bitter, spicy finish.

Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation, modestly effervescent.

Overall: It’s a hopped up, overly spiced witbier.

Lots of fruit, but with a lingering bitterness. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle, at a tasting....6 ounces. Poured a light cloudy orange/amber. Fluffy white head. Aroma was a bit of yeast and citrusy pepper spice. Taste is ripe banana and grapefruit blend, but very light. Finish a bit of grapefruit bitterness.

unclemike (2402) - Ft. Riley, Kansas, USA - APR 4, 2013
Poured a hazy orange/gold with a fuller fluffy white head. Aroma of Belgian yeast, pepper spice, over ripe banana and a touch of garlic. Fuller bodied with a creamy mouthfeel and average carbonation, a bit too full for a hot summer day. Flavor of dry citrus rind, wheat, bad oranges, toast, yeast. Good stuff

maxwelldeux (4035) - Everett, Washington, USA - APR 2, 2013
Bottle. Pours a hazy dark copper color with a moderate white head. Nose is light and hoppy with some great floral and citrus notes. Tastes nothing like a Belgian ale to - much more like a light IPA with just a subtle hint of sweetness underneath everything. Good brew.

12oz Bottle. Thanks Sean! Yeast, warm fruits with paw paw, override banana, and orange slices. Light, airy body brings out some rubbery phenols, almonds, and bitter dry grass. Dry body overall. I expected this to be hoppy and strongly bitter, but am pleased to have it show a little more laid back and relaxed. I’m having a hard time getting into the Belgian yeast products, but the dryness and malt-mineral profile are enjoyable.

EtTuCthulhu (1239) - Columbia, Missouri, USA - MAR 24, 2013
The aroma smells like citrus hops, coriander, and orange peel, and the appearance is a dark golden color with a medium white head that fades at a semi-slow pace. The taste is quite bitter, slightly sour, and slightly sweet, which is quite a bold flavor for the light color and palate, which combines a thin texture, light body, average carbonation, and bitter finish.

Hangover (1085) - Atlanta, Alabama, USA - MAR 20, 2013
Cloudy orange pour with a nice sized white head. Coriander and chamomille aroma with a faint whiff of bubblegum. Flavor is pretty spicy, very spicy in fact. Nice bite at the end. Would have liked to get more of that coriander flavor but it’s still a pretty good brew.
