4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Kind of confused me, I got a six pack and one day I thought it had some nice Belgian ale qualities with just a little extra hops, but then the next time it seemed like a hoppy IPA with a hint of Belgian ale qualities.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Served on tap in a chalice glass
Appearance – The beer is served a very hazy golden yellow color with a one finger head of white foam floating atop the brew. The head has a decent level of retention, slowly fading to leave a good level of streaky lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma is heaviest of a grapefruit citrus hop mixed with a moderately strong showing of a grassy and herbal smell. Along with these smells, comes some aromas of a more yeasty nature, a little bit of a hay and grainy smell, as well as some hints of apple and peach fruits.
Taste – The taste begins with a lighter and crisp cracker taste with a bit of a fruity flavor of peach, apple, and tangerine and a decent showing of a grassy and grapefruit tastes. As the taste advances the fruit that was present up front fades all while the grass and grapefruit get stronger, all while with these flavors being accompanied by some yeasty and hay-like flavor. Some lighter notes of lemon and some spice later come to the tongue and with a little bit more grain, and grass coming to the tongue at the very end, one is left with a rather crisp and moderately hopped flavor to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is on the average to slightly thinner side with a carbonation level that is on the higher side. For the moderately hopped and drier flavors of the brew the feel was rather nice and helped accentuate the more refreshing and sharp tastes of the beer.
Overall – A decent Belgian IPA. Not bad overall, but nothing super exceptional.

2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Shared from a 12oz brown bottle into sampler glasses. It poured a hazy light golden amber colour with a weak white head. Since the name eludes to their Mad Hatter IPA, I expected this to be something like a Belgian IPA. Not at all. It is a weak, overly spiced Belgian Wit. Medium body, mushy wheat mouthfeel, way too much orange and coriander essence. None of the grains, hops or yeast get to do any of the talking. Unpleasant.

3.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
I can’t place the smell...at first I thought hint of vanilla, but that isn’t it. Banana? Pours a light yellowish color with lasting lacing. Minor citrus and spice to it. About the same amount of hops as a pale ale. Unsure what a white ale is, so cannot compare it to that. It is very easy drinking, not really that bad at all. Pretty mild. Overall not bad. Nothing to seek out, but if you want a beer where you can have a few of them, this would be good.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
12 ox. bottle pours a hazy orange with white head and decent lacing. Aroma has spices, Belgian yeast, and passion fruit. Taste is on the sweet side with a bitter finish. Body is medium with a slightly sticky mouthfeel. Body is medium with slight carbonation. I thought this might be yet another american witbier, but it has a few surpises, although not as comolex as I had hoped for.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Excellent white belgian. Great wheaty, slightly yeasty. Mildly sweet. Not peppery at all. Very nicely balanced.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Aroma of passion fruit, white pepper, clean cereal grain, and banana. Appears hazy yellow, thick white lace, and a nice layer of unfading white foam. Tastes of mildly sweet passion fruit and peach up front, changes into a savory oregano-marijuana bitterness that fades away to the background while the peach continues to linger. Palate is fizzy and filling. Overall, a very good, nearly great beer.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Tap: Hazed, unfiltered golden-yellow body with a chunky, soapy, foamy white cap that recedes hesitantly down the glass. Aroma is more witbier than IPA. Clove, coriander, orange peel, gummy Belgian yeast, citrus zest, mild peppery spice, perhaps even a touch of mint? Taste is even spicier, with more clove & white pepper. Coriander steps it up a notch, too, giving off a big herbal orange tea vibe. Gummy, hints of citrus spritz, wheat, & spicy, bready Belgian yeast leading into the aftertaste. Decent brew.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Well, this was not quite what I expected. It is a murky orange color w/ a head of fine white bubbles and great sheets of lace. Its nose is fairly mild. I am getting a touch of lavender and some citrus, perhaps from coriander. Once tasted, a surprising spicy character comes out, something along the line of apples and cinnamon. I am not sure the origin of these flavors--or if they are even intentional--but it is actually quite pleasant and works quite well w/ the light, creamy texture. It finishes dry w/ a lingering spiciness. Honestly, this is pretty much a beer w/o style as I drank it, I guess just a "Belgian ale" which doesn’t really mean anything. I was expecting a typical white IPA and this is way more spicy. Still, the surprise is pleasant and that is always a good thing.
