Thanks to Suttree for this beer. Nothing outstanding here, but an interesting beer. I could swear this is a heefeweizen with lots of hops. It is more like a wheat beer than an ipa. Cloudy orange and there is osme sediment as well as lots carbonation creating a tall, thick head. Flavor has some banana and citrus, with just a little hop bitterness. It is very smooth and has decent palate. Bitterness is far too low for an ipa.

You know, New Knoxville just didn’t have a great showing for me at the Floyd Fandango. This one was draught from the brewer. Pours copper-amber into the glass, with a small retentive head and minimal spiderlace. The nose contains a bit more sweetness than is indicative of style. It’s thin, relying much more on bold hops moreso than any real grapefruit-style maltiness, or any real pine aftereffects. The Cascades do somewhat come through at the end, but this certainly is very unfocused and by far NOT the best IPA out there.

Too much head. The head was an off white color with lines from tannins of unfiltered grain. Crushed grain was also floating throughout the ale. I believe this beer was overly carbonated.

Good beer, pours out a dark orange color with a small white head. Smell is fruity and complex, with some malts pushing through the not so overwhelming hops. Taste is not as hoppy as I would have thought, but there is a nice sweet crisp flavor to this one that goes down very nice. Certainly a beer to try, and I wish I could get this at a local store since it is made so close to home.

Poured to a hazy orange-red color, with off-white head that reduced to a foam cap for the entire drink, and let excellent lacing on the glass. Aroma of sour fruit, mostly citrus and apples. Taste was more of the same, although not real strong. Finish was fairly dry, but all and all, this was a pretty good beer.

Due to my affinity for IPA’s this rating may be a bit skewed. Aroma excited me as do all IPA’s but appearance was darker than expected. A bit metallic with a lingering tinny after taste, not bitter like I like.

(12oz bottle, thanks SpringsLicker) Cloudy amber body topped by a big, rocky beige head. Aroma is medium sweet, apricot, orange rind, some lemon Pledge. Taste is medium sweet, caramel/bread, grapefruit/lemon/pine, apricot, some wood. Moderately bitter. Effervescent light-medium body, moderate acidity.

Big, fluffy off white head that doesn’t know when to quit. This beer smells like budweiser tastes: generic beer. Maybe a touch of sour and citrus. Hazy tan color. Weird, fruity flavor. Apricots, plumbs, raisins, peaches, caramel. Doesn’t have an IPA smell or taste. Wishin’ I didn’t just buy a six pack.

Dark amber colour. Kind of fruity, woody aroma (mango, black currant). Light hops, fruitiness, bit of caramel all sort of thrown into one. Not really IPA, and a bit scattered as a beer overall.

Caramel malt base...bread dough and moderate sweetness. Citrus hopping...orange juice and lime. I liked this a little better than most other reviewers, but it is an odd IPA.
