OldGrowth (1282), Cary, North Carolina, USA May 3, 2007 bottle, from trade with NachlamSie. Good aroma, sweet. Wild whole blueberries, melon, little orange, brown sugar. Tad hazed orangy gold color. Small head that went to a ring that lasted most of the way down. Bittersweet flavor. Grassy with fruity, apple & berry, notes. Medium body, lite creamy mouthfeel, bitter dry finish. Nice aroma, not strong, but was different than most pale ales I’ve had. Surprised to see a 2.49 average. nearbeer (1334), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA Mar 25, 2007 Updated: May 4, 200812 oz. poured in Ball quart. Slightly cloudy, golden peach liquid with small, but persistent creamy head and nice lacing. Aroma is slight peach-apricot with nice hop. Flavor is slight peach, with cocoa, nutty-malt and some apricot undertones. Palate is light-bodied, but not too light. Good session beer. Dry and bitter, true to the style, and tastes way better than the standard pub bitters I had in England. May 2008 update: had my last one of these in the cellar; still a good beer with lots of yummy roasted malt flavors. CavalryGuy9 (3), Tennessee, USA does not count Dec 29, 2006 I liked it. Light Caramel Color. Spicy orange and wood taste. Good aftertaste. I got to support my hometown brewers. =) hopdog (4654), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA Nov 25, 2006 12oz bottle acquired in trade with Suttree (thanks!). Opened to a loug pssst a preceded to pour all head (off white). Settled into a medium and clear amber color. Aromas of caramel, citrus, and lightly fruity. Tastes of caramel and citrus. Kinda boring.
