On tap at the Roots Organic brewpub during ABA Beer Tour 07. This was a surprise to find a different brewpub’s beer at this location, so "fill ’er up!" Pours a clear coppery brown brew with an average off-white head that quickly dissolves to a fine film with a ring. Aroma of roasted caramel malt, with some earthy and flowery hops. Taste is lightly carbonated, ceamy and smooth with some multi-grain malt and some earthy hop bitterness. Finish is light and has a very dry hop aftertaste.

Deep amber to almost brown color. A thin head with a great aroma. This was a great brown ale with a malty background and a slight hop flavor. I liked this beer.

Had this at Lompoc just before Carl and I were asked to leave or put out our cigar... We left! Great quality, but what isn’t in Portland. goes from hop to malt to hop again. very great lacing, with white head. reddish amber in color.

Murky red with good head and lacing. Swettish malt caramel nose. Roasty/chocolate charater and v ery creamy texture with a smooth finish.

A clear brown color with a foamy off white head. The aroma is hoppy with some hints at malt. The flavor is malty and light with a hint of bitterness in back. Nice smooth palate.
