Tap @ their NW location... Poured near black, but more of a dark brown with a soft, beige head. Aroma is toasty with malt and sugar grains. Smooth feel in the mouth with chalky malt and sweet, caramel flavors. Finished dry and soft.

Draft. A pitch black beer with a rim of brown head. The aroma is sweet malty with light notes of roasted malt. THe flavor is sweet malty with notes of caramel as well as lighter notes of roasted malt, leading to a slightly bitter finish.

Draft at New Old Lompoc Brewery, Portland, OR. Tan head that was mostly lasting, opaque, no visible carbonation, and a dark brown hue. The nose was malty, coffee and roasty and ditto for the flavor, but thin tasting. Mouthfeel was smooth and thin. Quaffable, easy drinking but thin for the style.

Draught nitro. Poured black with thick creamy tan head. Much lacing. Plummy aroma. Malty flavour with bittersweet chocolate and coffee notes. Bittersweet finish. I like stout and this is a worthy effort.

Draft nitro sample at the Hedge House, Portland. Creamy and fluffy with hints of vanilla and smaller hints of fresh roasted coffee. Baker’s chocolate in the finish. Thin for the style, but holding good amount of flavor.
