Pours a clear copper with a tea type head. Nothing coming through in the scent really. Flavor is bland and lifeless. Does it taste like a pale ale? I guess, in some roundabout way, but this is the first gluten free beer I’ve tried and it’s nothing to write home about.

Delightful! Beer made with brown rice, kind of like Sake (which is made from white rice). I taste a hint of the Sake flavor, but with hops and yeast, it’s a real beer. Gluten-free, which is cool. a really delicious beer, more breweries should take notice of this fine Boulder, Colorado Brew Co.

Pours deep coper with a frothy tan head. Earthy scent, sorghum,vegetable. Taste is cardboard, earthy hops.... with the exception of it’s colour, altogether unpleasant.

Pours a dark amber to copper color with a thin, soapy kakhi head. Aroma is full of sorghum, some planty, citrusy hops, red apple skin, earthy grain and some odd weedy (as in nuisance, thistle-like) floral notes. Sorghum and rice sugar in the flavor, husky grain, molasses, sweet red apple, and citrus and planty hops. Excessively light, fairly dry feel, moderate carbonation. While I can’t say that I really enjoyed this beer that much, I can say that the many odd aroma and flavor elements seem to be light in intensity, unlike many other sorghum based beers. Which is saying a lot in the gluten-free segment.

Bottle at Churchkey in D.C. Shared by a gluten free buddy of mine. The beer is crystal clear, appearing light orange in color. The head is small and fades within a few moments. Both the aroma and flavor offer sweet apple juice. Apples soaked in alcohol. Some characteristics resembling a hard cider. This was tolerable, but I wouldn’t have it again. I won’t knock it too hard, because I have yet to have a palatable gluten free beer. Decent for what it is. Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 06-25-2012

Bottle. Clear golden with a fizzy white head. Bitter vegetal and earthy skunky hops aroma and taste with a sticky palate.

This bottled brew from a bottle shop poured a small sized head of foamy finely sized tan colored bubbles that were and left behind a strongly carbonated transparent golden brown colored body. The aroma was of floral hop and must. The initial mouth feel was a shock with a strong initial flavor rush. The shock was less noticeable after the second sip. It has a strange cardboard aftertaste. The flavor was strange and hard to define. Not one that I would likely buy again.

Weird, just plain weird. The nose smells like vitamins and burnt caramel malt. The beer is a murky light brown with no head. Sweet with strange off notes of vitamins and soap. Light with a weird vegetal finish.

Another un tasty gluten free beer. Not much of a surprise there, as it tastes a bit of cheap home made cheese cloth beer my dad made once.
