COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
New Planet Pale Ale (formerly Off Grid Pale Ale) is a wonderful interpretation of the classic pale ale style. It has a distinctly deep amber color and great character and body. Three varieties of hops provide a wonderful aroma and a citrus and spicy hop flavor. This smooth gluten-free ale is made from sorghum and brown rice extract, molasses, tapioca maltodextrin, caramel color, hops, and yeast.

Bottle @ Gregís dump, pregaming Trailhead Tuesday. Pours a dark burnt orange appearance with a tan head. Weirdly buttery, twangy aroma. Tart, caramel, molasses, bland fruity flavor. Awful.

Syrupy sweet, with a wierd herbal-ish kind of character. Light green apple finish. Also a sort of medicinal character; subtle, but not good. Carbonation seems pretty low.

Aroma is kind of a spicy gingerbread. Not typical of anything. Copper color, tan head. Taste is cidery and metallic with a play-dough aftertaste. Light but sticky body. New Planet offering are not beer-like, instead they are an alcoholic soda of some sort.

This beer has a nice amber color with a small foamy head. The aroma consists of a small amount of ginger, spice, and hops. The taste consists of cider, vinegar, and a small amount of spice with a bad after taste.

12 fl oz bottle from Potsdam, served cold in a tulip glass.

App.: Clear amber with a rocky, off-white head. Aroma: Quite herbal, peppery, leafy, soapy, strange, spicy like ginger, pine and resin, quite hoppy but not quite right. Palate: Medium-ish body, fairly full carbonation. Flav.: Soapy, lemon-lime, ginger-like spiciness, a sort of toasted grain/brown sugar/caramel thing, herbal; dry with pretty good bitterness and a lime-herbal-soapy finish.

A good effort. Iím glad Iím not glutarded.

12oz bottle 4/17/14 (Meijer)-38į in Shaker-Pours a clear light amber with a small white head. Aroma of hops and malt. Taste of nastiness with a little hops. This light to medium bodied brew is again not very good.

Gluten free beers suck ass. Has a really fruity and weird finish. Smells awful like most gluten free beers. Drank because I have had all beers on the menu. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. The look is clear, not much head, and copper in color. The smell is weird, rice, sweet, soy, and off. The taste is hot, alcohol, rice, ugh, and weird.

Bottle. Pour caramel. Small creamy off white head. Strange aroma that is one part PA and the rest nasty. Decent lacing. Flavor is completely unrecognizable. Iím guessing it has to do with the sourghum (duh), but it is really strange and its definitely not good. I think itís great that these guys are trying to make beer for those who canít tolerate wheat, but this particular beer has a long way to go.
