New Planet Pale Ale (formerly Off Grid Pale Ale) is a wonderful interpretation of the classic pale ale style. It has a distinctly deep amber color and great character and body. Three varieties of hops provide a wonderful aroma and a citrus and spicy hop flavor. This smooth gluten-free ale is made from sorghum and brown rice extract, molasses, tapioca maltodextrin, caramel color, hops, and yeast.

Gluten free beers suck ass. Has a really fruity and weird finish. Smells awful like most gluten free beers. Drank because I have had all beers on the menu. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12 oz bottle. Copper in color with a decent off-whit head. Aroma is of rice, sugar, malt. Taste is of wild rice, spices, light cider vinegar, and vomit.

Bottle. The look is clear, not much head, and copper in color. The smell is weird, rice, sweet, soy, and off. The taste is hot, alcohol, rice, ugh, and weird.

Bottle. Pour caramel. Small creamy off white head. Strange aroma that is one part PA and the rest nasty. Decent lacing. Flavor is completely unrecognizable. Im guessing it has to do with the sourghum (duh), but it is really strange and its definitely not good. I think its great that these guys are trying to make beer for those who cant tolerate wheat, but this particular beer has a long way to go.

12oz bottle. This pale ale poured clear light amber with no head. There was very little aroma and the taste was of caramel and bread. The light body had soft carbonation. This beer is hard to drink. The finish had a strange aftertaste..

12oz bottle poured into a tumbler. Clear deep amber with a surprisingly decent off white head. Caramel aroma, with floral notes and some root vegetables. Strange flavor - medicinal, metallic, spicy, sweetish and oxidized. No hop bitterness but definitely harsh. Way over carbonated, light bodied, bizzare and nor very good.

Smells and tastes like an anti-freeze/ fingernail polish concoction with a splash of beer. This is honestly number one on my list of bad flavored beers.

Bottle poured a caramel dyed hue w/ a medium fizzy white head. Moderate chemical aroma. Initial flavor is moderate sweet w/ a bold sour finish. Tastes are apples, vinegar, and a strong chemical aftertaste. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, and such a foul off-taste in the finish making this beer undrinkable.

12 oz. Pours a mostly clear copper with a head that fizzles out quickly. Aroma is apple cider and orange-tinged molasses with a touch of paint thinner. Taste is the same with more paint thinner. Light-medium body is balanced and has what seems to be an alcohol burn.

Pours a clear copper with a modest and effervescent head. Aroma is not strong; has herbal, hoppy and floral hints. Flavor has yeasty and bready notes, a fruity hint not great but palatable. Texture has average viscosity and not much fizz. One of these days, somebody is going to figure out how to brew a decent gluten-free beer.
