COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
New Planet Pale Ale (formerly Off Grid Pale Ale) is a wonderful interpretation of the classic pale ale style. It has a distinctly deep amber color and great character and body. Three varieties of hops provide a wonderful aroma and a citrus and spicy hop flavor. This smooth gluten-free ale is made from sorghum and brown rice extract, molasses, tapioca maltodextrin, caramel color, hops, and yeast.

12oz bottle pours with a clear copper body and thick gold edges and supports an off white head. The aroma offers up red apples, earthy gravel, sugar coated cherry skins, cherry nuanced hazelnut notes and boozy figs...what the... Odd funky just weird smell, and not in a particularly good way. The taste, oh boy here we go, is sadly similar with red apples, ripe cherries, some cherry skins and then odd earthy gravel mixed with sweet hazelnuts. None of this is going well together as every note is heading into a different direction. Wow, strange and its bold notes that pop up here and there are just making it worse. Easily will never touch this again.

otakuden (1783) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - OCT 20, 2013
Appearance: Copper and toffee hues under under an off-white head that fades into a thin collar with a broken layer of film in the middle.
Nose: For the first few minutes I am literally not able to get anything aroma wise. Eventually I am able to scrounge up some faint notes of white bread crust and stale crackers in the back. Whiff of diacetyl in the back.
Palate: Hard apple skins along the sides. Fizzy salty mineral finish. Sides of the cheeks tingle as the beer passes by without leaving anything for me to taste. Maybe just maybe a bit more flavor than the nose with some faint white breads and white crackers. Ghostly essence of butter.
Final Thoughts: Another blah beer from New Planet Beer Company. Just because someone is gluten-intolerant doesn’t mean they should have to drink a sub-par faux beer. Keep looking.

Pours a perfect pint size. Cheers pintsize! Brillant, translucent copper. Healthy, lacy, off-white head that lasts. Aroma of very old books and wood. Flavor is old wood oulo but accentuated with metallic notes added. Ummm nyiittt.

Dogbrick (8658) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - OCT 5, 2013
Sample at the "Far Out! Space-themed beer tasting" on 10/01/2013. Pours a brownish-amber color with a thin off-white head that evaporates quickly to an outer ring. Spotty lacing. Aroma of grain and fruit. Light-bodied with flavors of charred bread, latex and minty hops. The finish is sorgum and fruit. Not good.

12oz bottle from ABC on Apalachee. Orange-gold pour, minimal head. Aroma is light funk, alcohol, grain, medicinal. Cereal, metallic, grain, bandaid, burnt, bitter, yeast, dry. A strange bad beer. Not a drain pour, but close.

Just biting sorghum harshness, it literally burns the mouth, almost minty at times.

Amber color with a while head. Caramel aromas, hops, light fruit. Light body, not much going on in terms of flavor. Bland at best.

Appearance: very crystal clear, a sort of darker gold while being completely transparent, pours with a medium size beige head that isn’t dense at all, hades fades to nothing pretty quick Aroma: citrus, tart, rice, fruit, hard to put words on the aroma, very unique and a bit faint, smells like a hamburger bun too Taste: a bit sour, bitter on the end, Palate: very thin mouth feel, almost like drinking a cider, leaves a bit of a bitter aftertaste, some amount of creaminess, Overall: not a bad gluten free beer, not nearly as good as a beer with gluten tho, they are no doubt unique tho which is why I like to taste them, the palate and aromas are the most different from a normal beer ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Orange with a white head. The aroma is full of plastic buckets and toffee. The flavor is also full of plastic notes as well as some toffee and spice. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation. Not good.

Not a great beer out of Colorado, found a bottle of it in cleveland, had some caramel color and a decent hoppy aroma, but that’s about it.
