COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
3R Raspberry Ale is an award winning ale with the right balance of fruit flavor and aroma. Made from sorghum, corn extract, natural raspberry puree, orange peel, hops, and yeast. Not overly sweet, the Oregon grown fruit puree creates a beautiful body color with a natural raspberry flavor.

Rosť appearance, no head. Plain label, Eco-Green marketing crap. One of the stinkiest beers Iíve ever come across - chemical, plasticky, like a new air mattress with some raspberry jam. This is like a bad homebrew/winemaking experiment. Sour, weird, bad. Iím bailing on this rating and pouring it out.

[Bottle] Light amber pour without any head to it. Sweet peach and raspberry nose seems pretty genuine. Weak fruity taste includes mainly raspberry mixed with corn syrup, paper and sorgham. Very high carbonation levels remind me of a soda. Not as bad as the other beers from this brewery. In fact, it would be a fine beer for hot weather.

Sample at KC Beerfest 10-22. Comes a pinkish amber with a small white head. Mild aroma of malt and raspberries. Taste is malt, raspberries and a bit of hops. OK.

10/16/11. 12oz bottle. Clear amber pour with pinkish/purplish hues, under a fizzy white head that sizzles away and doesnít lace. Very light, tart fruity aroma of candied raspberry. The flavor is much the same - itís like raspberry jello made with metal water. Thin and overcarbonated. Meh.

Bottle from Ledgers. Pours rather rose with a few bubbles/no head. Aroma is more perfumey/floral than raspberry. Near med body. Flavor is floral, even rose, with some raspberry. Thereís a papery flavor in the finish.

UPDATED: SEP 29, 2011 The aroma is very weak with mixed fruit and sweet malts. The appearance is light pink with a thin head. The taste is not bad up front with a fruity-malty presence but the aftertaste is like insecticide. The palate is thin but smooth. Overall a beer that has great intentions and Iím sure its quality but fails to deliver.

Tallahassee, Fl - New Leaf Market - 12 oz bottle. Pours a medium copper with a pink twinge to it with no head whatsoever. Pretty much of a neutral aroma, brief hints of raspberries. Flavor is pretty artificial, weak berry kool-aid comes to mind. Not very beer like at all. Mouthfeel has that slick low-carb feel to it that leaves you thirsty. Way below the par of what I experienced a few months back with their Tread Lighlty Ale which was not bad at all.

Pours a pinkish amber with a thin white head. Aroma is berries and buttered grits. Flavor is that of berry flavored water. Would be very enjoyable on a hot day.

(bottle 9/2/10). Pale rose color with good clarity. Small off white head. Light berry aroma and flavor. Very short duration. Light dry finish. Thin texture. Soft carbonation. Spare lacing.

A: The pour is a pink color, almost like cherry 7-Up with a very short lived foam. S: Definitely some butter along with cardboard and paper, smells almost like a paper mill. There is not much raspberry to it along with some mild sugar and grass, perhaps some straw and water. T: The flavor is similarly poor. Lots of wet cardboard and paper with a mild raspberry flavor. A bit of sweetness as well as some grainy sugar and a touch of metal. M: Watery and light with a medium carbonation. O: Itís no Indian Wells Raspberry Ale, but itís not something Iíd like to drink, either.
