Tread Lightly Ale is a great balanced beer made from fermented sorghum and corn, hops and yeast. It is a bright beer with light taste and body and without the after taste of other sorghum-based beers. Inspired by the old-style America Pilsner, our Tread Lightly Ale appeals to a new style beer drinker looking for a healthy alternative, low caloric content and great taste.

Pedestrian with your obligatory frosty mountains - marketed as Tread Lightly. Misty, honey blonde with an off white head. Powdery, slightly tangy, malty aroma. On the verge of being sour, itís got some vegetal (grassy, leafy) notes over a lemony backdrop. Slightly mineral. Astringent wisps sometimes. There just wasnít anything here that would make me ever want another one. New Leaf Market.

Pale pour, no head. Aroma is fruity. The flavor is light, sweet, fruity. Some apple.

Clear light golden like a pilsner, with a thin rocky white head that recedes pretty quickly. Malty and bready nose with a little sorghum and light toasted nuttiness. Smooth medium body with a nice wheaty, bready middle and a little german blonde malt undertone throughout. A bit of weird GF - sorghum note at the start but it smooths out. Loads of crackery-blonde-germanness.

Bottle - fair size foamy head, clear dark gold color, very sweet corn and sugar aroma and flavor, some sweet fruity notes in there, crisp finish, a little too sweet overall for my tastes ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Yellow brew with no head but lots of bubbles and this is the best part of this one. Smells like cheap wine, you know that kind we would buy as kids to make trash can punch with. Kind of thinking of that, this tastes like trash can punch. Oh the memories... until I blacked out. Nothing about this beer is appealing or good. Very glad I found this as a single cause I would hate to pour a whole six pack down the drain. Got another style from this brewery so hopefully that bottle will be better than this.

Awful beer. Pours like ginger ale but with hardly any foam. Aromas of barely anything punctuated with a mildly bitter taste. To its credit, it has a fairly nice dry finish (again, not unlike ginger ale), but the overall sensation is like Iíve just been drinking bitter carbonated water.

Bottle. Clear golden color, pretty much flat. Aroma of raw bread. Taste is bready, light bitterness.

First thing I did after tasting this for the first time is check the sodium levels. I was astonished it has zero sodium. First sip tasted like Alka seltzer. Have to spit after each sip, this beer truly tastes horrid...

12oz bottle (Courtesy of Headbanger) poured into a Shaker at 39į. Color is a bright gold with very bubbly carbonation giving it a loose rocky head. It looks like a glass of ginger ale. Aroma is sweet, like malted sugar and a hint of fruit. It has a light crisp body that feels bubbly. Flavor is sweet with malt and corn, it comes across like unfermented wort. In the after taste the sweet gives a honey like taste and a very faint bitterness that lets a slightly dry feel come out. Overall its very strange, but I kind of like it.

Bottle from backlog notes 2012. Pours a clear golden color with a small white head. The aroma and flavor have sweet malts, grainy yet different, apples, cereal malts, very light hop character, just bland with sweet character. Glutenfree is nnot something I have enjoyed to this point.
