Tread Lightly Ale is a great balanced beer made from fermented sorghum and corn, hops and yeast. It is a bright beer with light taste and body and without the after taste of other sorghum-based beers. Inspired by the old-style America Pilsner, our Tread Lightly Ale appeals to a new style beer drinker looking for a healthy alternative, low caloric content and great taste.

A: The beer pours a clear golden color with no head to speak of. S: A mild pepper note as well as some "malt", rice, and cardboard. There’s definitely some apple and crappy tofu aroma. A little bit of soap and water in there, too. T: Apples and water, soap, and more of the wonderful crappy tofu character. There’s plenty of wet cardboard with a mild sweetness and a general sense of blandness. M: Light and watery with a medium level of carbonation. O: Rather crappy; just like all the gluten free beers I’ve had.

Draught. Pours dark yellow with a small, fizzy white head, mostly diminishing with fair lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (cookie, cereal, meal), light hop (herbs), average yeast (dough, earth) with notes of apple, sorghum, nutmeg, and pepper. Light bodied, slick texture, average carbonation, and a chalky finish. Average duration, light sweetness, acidity, and bitterness. Man am I glad I do not need a gluten free diet.

Bottle @ home. Golden, yellow appearance with a white head. Lemon, honey malty, straw, hay aroma that isn’t all that bad. Juicy Fruit, lemon, light passion fruit, honey, hay, grassy, green apple flavor. Not horrible for a GF but not something I would drink again.

Uhh, this beer fails to come close to anything in it’s deScription. It is tour, rotten, and sorghum-infested. Not a good one, in fact a really poor GF beer.
