Bottle thanks to SarkyNorthener. Thanks Martin. Intense sweet and perfumed heather aroma. Some nougat and heather aroma. Heather is like an old womanís bouquet. Itís ok in the mouth. I mean hugely sweet. Then the heather is quite strong too. Light yet sweet. Dry heather yet almost sickly sweet on the teeth. Odd but quite intriguing mead.

Bottle from new quay honey farm, wales. Golden amber mead. Aroma of honey and heather. Taste is heather, sweet honey and a little dry alcohol. Sticky body. Nice.

Bottle from Sarkynorthener cheers Martin; this is my first intentional mead rating the other was a style change, dusty light golden syrup pour, intense heather honey aroma on pour, taste is sweet with big heather honey tastes a bit like what pollen smells like, a bit cough syrup but a pleasant tasting experience.

Mini-bottle from the Cardiff castle :) Viscous. Honeyed aroma. Very smooth. Thick and silky. Sweet but not cloying. Just really delish.

The aroma is bright woody mead with subtle floral accents. The start is sweet, before moving into a drier alcoholic finish. The floral heather notes and cool honey sugars emerge well into the aftertaste, providing a pleasant coda. Good balance. A mead loverís mead.

Blond color, just a shade lighter than the regular Mead. The aroma shows honey, a variety that is more floreal, almost with vanilla notes. Very syrupy mouthfeel, even if the body is medium thick; the honey flavor is very strong, a perfumy variety, with strong wax too, very sweet. The final, for once among Meads, has a true honey trail (acacia honey). Extreme in its sweet/flowery/soapy character, but somehow itís what is expected from a Mead. Good.

Bottle 200ml. w. swing top.

Clear medium yellow color with virtually none head. Aroma is moderate to heavy honey, honey wax, flowers, heather. Flavor is heavy sweet with a long duration. Body is medium, texture is syrupy - oily, carbonation is flat, finish feel is light to moderate alcoholic. [20100908]

Clear golden. Aroma had plenty of honey and floral notes. Flavor had plenty of honey, floral and fruity hints. Finished very sweet.

Bottled. A golden mead. The aroma has notes of honey, flowers, and heather. The flavor is sweet with notes of honey, heather, and flowers, leading to a dry honey finish.
