Bottled on 12/14/07. Poured slightly hazy medium orange with a short, well-retained cap of off-white head. The aroma picked up sweet, dusty grapefruit along with some pine and peppery notes.. very well balanced and it seemed drier. The flavor had caramel and lesser light fruity sweetness supporting spicy pine and floral bitterness.. grapefruit returned at the end and gave a solid impression on the finish.. very tasty! Medium-bodied on the palate with thicker carbonation.. higher bitterness on the end and a refreshing finish. Very solid brew!

Bottle (12oz) shared with HogTownHarry, tupalev & garthicus -- courtesy of tupalev. Pours a clear orange with an average size diminishing white head. Aroma of mild resiny hops. Flavour of light resiny hops backed by sweet malt and a decent bitter finish. Light bodied. An O.K. Pale Ale.

Bottle shared with Hogtown Harry, Blankboy, and Garthicus, my bottle thanks to my father in law. Dark yellow, small white head. Hoppy, butterscotch, bread aroma - interesting mix, unfortunately some age coming through. Good taste - strong hops, malty sweet and bitter. Again, some age creeping in though. Grapefruit in finish. Held up remarkably well for something bottled last November.

Bottle (12oz). Shared by tupalev, with blankboy and garthicus. Pale amber, clear, with pretty much no head. Dry aroma, near-burnt grainy malt, hint of dry papery caramel; herbal. Taste is not bad - green-grassy, dry, herbal - ehh. Light body, a little flat, somewhat harsh aftertaste. Maybe a little past its best.

Their is a faulty taste to this beer, the brewing water seems a bit off and the rest of malts and hops are a bit weak. Their is not much to talk about this beer.

The aroma is like yeast, cardboard, grain, and grass. The appearance is amber with a huge head. The flavor is astringently bitter and like the aroma. The beer geysered when opened and the palate is thin and it sucks overall.

This is a great pale ale from the bottle or on tap. It is best if it is fresh on tap. The aroma is a blend of the different hops they utilize in the brewing and the flavor also reflects this. The flavor is well balanced with a good malt flavor. I hope whoever starts brewing it after Old Dominion keeps the recipe the same!!!

Pours a nice copper, excellent earthy hoppy bitterness with a citrus/crisp finish, light floral nose that is less than Sierra Nevada, an excellent east coast pale ale
