This is an amber beer with assertive hopping. The kettle hops are Amerillo Gold and Cascade. These hops plus Columbus hops are used for dry hopping later in the fermenter.

Now brewed at Lost Rhino Brewing Company. Formerly brewed by Old Dominion Brewing Company, formerly of Ashburn.

Sampled at the NoVa Summer Beer Fest in Leesburg, VA on 6/25/11. Pours a clear golden color with a medium sized fizzy head that fades quickly. Aroma of floral and citreus hops. The taste is big citrus hops with some floral notes, caramel and a bitter finish. Medium bodied with a lingering bitterness.

Growler from Lost Rhino Brewing Co. Pours fairly clear golden/orange with minimal head. Floral hoppy aroma. Sweet caramel malt flavor with a great hoppy finish; only slightly bitter. Light to medium body. This is great as a session beer. Excited that one of the first three brews from Lost Rhino is this solid!

Slightly orange head, great carbonation if not on the lighter side. Hazy orange color, good lacing. Well hopped, beautiful floral aroma. Notes of orange, peach, aged toffee. Had a slight taste of an english ale, but perhaps this was due to the fact that had probably be sitting around for more then a year. Great Pale. Too bad its retired. So long NRPA.

Bottled on 12/14/07. Poured slightly hazy medium orange with a short, well-retained cap of off-white head. The aroma picked up sweet, dusty grapefruit along with some pine and peppery notes.. very well balanced and it seemed drier. The flavor had caramel and lesser light fruity sweetness supporting spicy pine and floral bitterness.. grapefruit returned at the end and gave a solid impression on the finish.. very tasty! Medium-bodied on the palate with thicker carbonation.. higher bitterness on the end and a refreshing finish. Very solid brew!

Bottle (12oz) shared with HogTownHarry, tupalev & garthicus -- courtesy of tupalev. Pours a clear orange with an average size diminishing white head. Aroma of mild resiny hops. Flavour of light resiny hops backed by sweet malt and a decent bitter finish. Light bodied. An O.K. Pale Ale.

Bottle shared with Hogtown Harry, Blankboy, and Garthicus, my bottle thanks to my father in law. Dark yellow, small white head. Hoppy, butterscotch, bread aroma - interesting mix, unfortunately some age coming through. Good taste - strong hops, malty sweet and bitter. Again, some age creeping in though. Grapefruit in finish. Held up remarkably well for something bottled last November.
