3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
@ Tyler’s taproom Durham 5/31/06. Nitro pour. Ok nose, soft citrus. Clean orangy copper color, Big head and good lace with the nitro. Bitter flavor, grapefruit mainly with that nitro thing. Medium body, thin creamy mouthfeel, bitter dry finish.
Don’t know why you’d do an IPA nitro, but not bad

3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Nice appearance as a result fo the nitro tap. Very creamy head, as expected Aroma is lacking the typical hoppiness of an IPA. Flavor is only average. There are plenty of citrus and flowers, but could have more hops added. Served waaaay too cold, but tasted better as it warmed up.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Sampled at 2005 Asheville Brewer’s Jam. Nitro pour. Orange gold, thick creamy head. Decent grapefruit aroma, but faint. Juicy citrus hops and a metallic edge. Crisp finish.

1.9 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 8/20
Beer #10 for me at the WBF in Durham. Really unimpressed with this beer. No aroma to speak of. Very plain, watery palate, which I find annoying an annoying quality in IPAs. I’ve had macro IPAs better than this.

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 12/20
Draught at Tyler’s in Durham. Clear yellow color with thick white nitrogenated head. Not much nose suprisingly. Not much hop bitterness or flavor for an IPA, but they’re there in the background. The relative lack of hoppiness and carbonation remind me of the average biiter you might have in England (reminded me of Flowers bitter, for ex). Decent beer. Easy to drink.

1.4 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 5/20
on tap - barley’s taproom - asheville nc - nitro tap - medium orange gold in color. thick frothy head speckled with small, dark bubbles. very little aroma. initial flavor is very very dry - almost sandy or abrasive. i think the best way to describe the flavor is "generic beer". plain, bland and boring. if this were being judged in a real beer competition vs. other IPAs it would get a VERY low score. there is nothing in the flavor profile to make this stand out - or even taste like an ipa. as an ipa goes, this has been the worst one of our most recent beer trips. the glass was left 3/4 full on the bar when i decided to try something different.

3.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at the Federal in Durham, NC. Pours an orangish color from a nitro tap with a thick white head. Fruity smell. Doesn’t really taste like an IPA, maybe an ESB? Still a nice enjoyable beer. I haven’t had many beers of this style with nitro infused.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
On tap at the Flying Saucer in Charlotte. Now, I cannot emphasize the following enough: THIS IS NOT AN IPA. Poured a clear golden color with a creamy white head. This beer is JUST LIKE Boddington's with a wee bit more fruitiness. This isn't a bad beer, but it sure as hell isn't an IPA. It's an excellent bitter, though.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Creamy large white head-from nitro tap. Hoppy and malty nose. Ligth body with strong bitter grass aftertaste. Needs a little more malt for a better balance.
