2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
The Bodega, Bushwick tap ($6): Pours golden with white head. Aroma is somewhat nondescript, with mild hops, flowers, and some malt backbone. Taste is barely bitter at all. In fact the hops are hard to even discern. I, at first, thought I was given the wrong beer, but as it turns out, this was the right one. The taste was different from a normal IPA, which I am generally ok with, but this just wasn’t good.

2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Draft with Paul at Pony Bar HK. Pours a light to clear amber body with small off white head. Aroma is very plain - some stale hop, grass, cat piss, huge bready malt character and light plastic. Mouthfeel is dry and stale - overall unpleasant. I’m not sure if this was an old keg, but it was a big let down.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap on release night at Newburgh. Pours a clear orange gold with a thin to medium sized white head. Sweet citrus with a light honeyed caramel note. Light grape notes, very faint cat pee. Medium bodied, sweet malt, lots of toast and caramel. Very restrained. Gentle bitterness. Soft and supple. Sessionable, which can be dangerous at 7%. Nicely done.
