3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Aroma of floral hops and grapefruit, traces of spice. Deep, opaque copper color. The taste is unrelentingly bitter, more pine and resin than the aroma suggests. Body is slick and almost too light, although taken as a whole a very filling beer. It bites you alright...in the stomach. North Shore only beer for now, so I grabbed it at Butcher Boy.

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
UPDATED: JUL 28, 2013 On tap at Sunset Grill. Served in a pint glass. A frothy off white head on this murky light amber brew. Strong hop aromas. Floral and spice. Plenty of bitterness. Body on the heavy side, but still very enjoyable. A good pick. Re-rate. 6-pack canned. Now available at Julios. Fantastic! Pucker up with this one. Definately not a "starter" IPA!

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Draft @ Sunset grill. Looks like muddy river water with a thick layer of foam that laces all the way down. I have to use the cliche it tastes and smells very "green". Lots of leafy "green" hops. Floral, grapefruit and a touch of pine can be found here. Lingering bitter finish hangs with you for a nice duration. Resin shows up a ton as it warms. Texture is oily. I could drink a few of these if I was in the right mood. Itís an IPA that should be received well. Pretty darn good!

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours deep amber into a shaker. Tan head with good retenion recedes to coat surface. Sweet citrus and resin aromas. Dark caramel and tropical fruit upfront turning to deep dank resin in the lasting finish.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
UPDATED: JUL 17, 2013 Golden amber pour with a frothy offwhite head that lingers. Aroma is an assault of pine sap, mint, alcohol, and resin. The mouthfeel is slippery and slightly oily. Generally I quite enjoy extremely hoppy beers, however this one case where the bitterness was too much for my palate. Overwhelming oily resin, pine sap, ethanol, and a touch of winterfresh. No malt profile to speak of, this is like drinking acidic hop juice. Iím not sure if this is an off 6-pack, however I did not find this to be appealing, which is a shame because I wanted to like it. The finish is sticky and with a bitterness that reach to the back of my throat.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours a fairly clear medium golden color with a huge beige head that takes forever to recede. Huge hop aroma invades my nostrils as soon as I crack the tab on this bad boy. Grapefruit pith, pine resin, bits of garlic and green onions make up the nose. There might be some malt deep underneath, I canít find it but I donít really miss it. I do find a hint of bread and caramel in the flavor but like the nose the hops rule here as well. Bitter citrus with pine tar and resin. along with strands of green onion make up most of the flavor. Lingering hop bite festers on the palette long after each sip. Firm hop bitterness helps this beer live up to its motto of a beer that bites you back. Medium body with a moderate level of carbonation and a lightly bubbly deeply resinous mouthfeel. Damn I wasnít expecting that at all from an upstart in Massachusetts! Great IPA that is going to end up in every box I send out in trades.
