4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
UPDATED: JUL 28, 2013 On tap at Sunset Grill. Served in a pint glass. A frothy off white head on this murky light amber brew. Strong hop aromas. Floral and spice. Plenty of bitterness. Body on the heavy side, but still very enjoyable. A good pick. Re-rate. 6-pack canned. Now available at Julios. Fantastic! Pucker up with this one. Definately not a "starter" IPA!

pint draft at Plan B in Springfield. This was at the top of the list and I had never seen it before. Wow. the aroma is straight up citrus with a hint of ganja. The aromas were strong and the flavor was soft. The carbonation was light, and this made it very drinkable. Where can I get a 6-pack of this tasty beer?

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours a fairly clear medium golden color with a huge beige head that takes forever to recede. Huge hop aroma invades my nostrils as soon as I crack the tab on this bad boy. Grapefruit pith, pine resin, bits of garlic and green onions make up the nose. There might be some malt deep underneath, I canít find it but I donít really miss it. I do find a hint of bread and caramel in the flavor but like the nose the hops rule here as well. Bitter citrus with pine tar and resin. along with strands of green onion make up most of the flavor. Lingering hop bite festers on the palette long after each sip. Firm hop bitterness helps this beer live up to its motto of a beer that bites you back. Medium body with a moderate level of carbonation and a lightly bubbly deeply resinous mouthfeel. Damn I wasnít expecting that at all from an upstart in Massachusetts! Great IPA that is going to end up in every box I send out in trades.

From the tap and in to can shaped pint glass. Hazy, dark copper color with one finger thick head that left great lacing. Excellent grassy, and citrus hop aroma. Smooth malt initial taste, then moves quickly to grapefruit and resin hop taste that dissipates quickly. Low carbonation gives extra smoothness. Liked this brew a lot and will seek this out again - great work!

Pours deep amber into a shaker. Tan head with good retenion recedes to coat surface. Sweet citrus and resin aromas. Dark caramel and tropical fruit upfront turning to deep dank resin in the lasting finish.

Draft @ Sunset grill. Looks like muddy river water with a thick layer of foam that laces all the way down. I have to use the cliche it tastes and smells very "green". Lots of leafy "green" hops. Floral, grapefruit and a touch of pine can be found here. Lingering bitter finish hangs with you for a nice duration. Resin shows up a ton as it warms. Texture is oily. I could drink a few of these if I was in the right mood. Itís an IPA that should be received well. Pretty darn good!

Now we belly ache that itís too hoppy! I guess haters are gonna hate. For me, this is as good as any of the East Coast (West Coast style) IPAís! A homerun for all the Green Heads out there! Prost!

12 oz can, thanks to Willy for sharing! Golden amber pour, aroma of pine, tropical fruit, and honey. Nice balanced sweetness up front, very crisp and punch of bitter hoppiness to boot. Wish I had acess to this as I would drink a lot of it!

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Hazy orange pour. Fluffy white, soapy looking head. Nice Hershey hoppy nose. Orange, floral. Fresh and crisp. Lemon, orange. Lightly touched by caramel malt. Very strong bitter finish. Soapy and foamy in the mouthfeel. Probably needs the bitterness turned down a touch. Malt is just right, hops are strong. Just really assertively bitter. Awesome addition to the local scene. Clearly not dumbed down for anyone. Tasty stuff.
