Belgian style ale brewed with spices. This partly cloudy unfiltered ale features a slight citrus hint complemented by sweet pilsner and wheat malts.

Poured a hazy lighter orange with a white head. Aroma was of oranges, lemon, yeast, pale grain. Flavor similar, clean, refreshing American wit.

Draught at the brewery, Summer 2014 and on draught at the Bostonian, 1/8/16.
Highly hazy/moderately cloudy, bright white gold with pineapple tones. White head atop is small and steadily recedes to cover.
Bubble gum, fresh, spicy coriander and light citrus zest give a pretty fair rendition of a traditional Belgian wit, in the nose. Definitely malty, with lots of biscuits, sweet bread and strong honey notes. No alcohol or flaws.
Malty, rather sweet flavor does manage some acidity from the yeast, as well as moderate bubble gum and light banana. Wheat adds light dryness and pleasant texture, but it gets just a bit sweet for my liking, by the bottom of the glass. Clean, though, and at least easily identifiable as a real witbier.

Sampled at GABF 2015. In the tasting glass hazy yellow. Nose of citrus. Medium plus body. Flavor is coriander and citrus. Spicy finish. So so.

Can from a trade. Nose is moderately ham like with a deli meat note. Some celery. Taste is less offensive and is much better actually. Taste shows s fleshy pineapple flavor, juicy. Light on perfume and coriander. Pretty decent tasting

(Rating #6463)

My Bottom Line:
This citrusy Witbier interpretation develops a tart touch upon delicate spices and wheat.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A veil of foam covers the murky yellowish beige.
-Carbonation is soft, but perhaps too low for the style.
-Spice dosage is intelligent. This is not a coriander soup, unlike lots of American-made Witbiers.
-Drinkability is high.
-Mouthfeel is slender and built for big gulps.

Pours a hazy gold from a tap. Aroma of classic wheatiness, maybe some banana and grapefruit. Classic witbier flavor, yeasty, sweet malts, noble hops. Okay, but a little unbalanced, kind of a first attempt at witbier kind of thing. Okay beer.

It has little to no carbonation. I feel like they found a checklist for summer wheat beers and decided to make a wine cooler out of it. At $12 a six pack, the beer prices it self near Algash and Avery. To quote Jimmy the Cab Driver from Mtv, you are no Algash or Avery. Blue Moon and Shock Top are markedly better. You cannot shove an Orange into a bottle of Arbor Mist and call it a beer. If you like this beer, I question your existence.
