Aroma is light moderate malty, toasted, light hoppy, fruity. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average duration, light acrid bitter. Cask@Market Porter. Golden colour, no head. Aroma is wood, some vanilla, mild fruity and floral hops along with some bready notes. Flavour is quite much the same, in a quite nice balance. Wooden and fruity aftertaste.

Cask conditioned Handpump Vat & Fiddle Nottingham A light gold coloured beer with a tight white head and lacing. The aroma is tangy lemon and lime jelly. The taste is fairly sharp with more lime jelly. Very new World hoppy but perhaps a bit too tangy sharp.

Gently fruity hops. Otherwise pretty dull. The hops are the only thing that save it from mere adequacy, and they barely do that. A rather simple beer.

UPDATED: SEP 28, 2009 Cask handpull, The Swan and Rushes, Leicester. Straw with a white slick. Sweaty mandarin and lychee aroma with added greenery and urinal. Dense citrus tang mellow with passion fruit and orange. No malt flavours detectable. Breakfast juice tang topping Octo’s Brooklyn EIPA. Love it.

Malty, fruity taste with notes of dried fruit, apricots, malt and slightly dusty hops in the finish. More than medium body, balanced sweetness. Tasty and solid beer. Nice one.

Cask at the Old Manor (JDW), Bracknell. Bright amber with a scummy off-white head; aroma of grain and citrus; sweet fruity taste with a grainy body; then lightly bitter, leaving a biscuity finish. A reasonable Golden Ale but rather on the sweet side.
