Theydon_Bois (8327) - The ’Sham, Surrey, ENGLAND - MAR 8, 2013
Cask at the Raglan Arms, Rugby, 06/03/13. Clear pale blonde with a medium white head that retains well. Good lacing ensues. Nose is pale malt, floral hops, sweet aromas, touch of citrus and piss. Taste comprises pale malt, lemon curd, grass, touch of soap, hops, light sugars. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Ok stuff.

imdownthepub (10141) - Banbury, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - FEB 26, 2012
Cask conditioned at a Wetherspoons. Pale yellow gold with slight white head. Fruity, floral, perfumed beer with a drying character, some bitterness, some pithy orange notes. Dusty malts. Ok.

berkshirejohn (4477) - Bracknell, Berkshire, ENGLAND - FEB 24, 2012
Cask at the Old Manor (JDW), Bracknell. Straw with a thin white head; citrus aroma; sweet grainy citrus flavour; and a slightly sour finish. I’m not impressed.

Nocturne (775) - Cheshire, ENGLAND - FEB 21, 2012
Cask at JDW. Pale gold with a short head. Decent floral and citrusy ale that doesn’t quite deliver the killer punch. Some good elements but the whole thing doesn’t quite coalesce.

Cask by handpump at Camperdown Place, Glasgow (18 Feb 12) - clear pale golden ale with medium off-white head, bit of citrus and sweetness in the flavour, rather pleasant

Leighton (10781) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - FEB 17, 2012
UPDATED: FEB 18, 2012 Cask at The Justice Mill, JDW. Pours clear yellow with a fine, white foam. Some zesty citrus, lemon, and straw in the nose. Flavor is quite sweet, with white sugar and juicy citrus, then some bitterness of citrus rind and grass. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Sweet, lightly dry finish, some mango, biscuits and hay. Very easy golden.

Terribly weak looking, and weak bodied, but has a neat hoppiness about it with notes of citrus in the taste.

Cask at Blue Boar, Billericay, Essex. Pours a clear pale gold with a thin white head. A very dry bitter aroma with a little creosote and orange peel. Very bitter and dry on the palate too. There is a faint metallic edge and a little carbonation on the tip of the tongue. To keep with the bitter theme, it has a very bitter hop taste but there is also a smoothness with touches of lemon, lime and coriander seed. This is followed by a very dry and slightly metallic aftertaste. White Squall is more refreshing than this description has made it sound. I wish I had taken more notice of where it has won it’s pump-clip-announced gold medal and when as I may have rated this better if I had been drinking it outside in the summer rather than on a bitterly cold February evening.

bobinlondon (1256) - Harrow, Greater London, ENGLAND - JAN 25, 2012
Hand pullf cask at the Moon Under Water (JDW) in Watford. Slightly hazy gold with a thick white swirly collar. Slight mineral/fruit aroma. A touch of yeast and dry to bitter English hops predominate over a sweet malt back bone. A better than average golden cask ale.

stravale (2075) - Near Carrick-on-Shannon, IRELAND - JAN 16, 2012
Cask @ JDW Inverness
Light yellow straw..clear..thin white head
Aroma of sweet golden malts...fruits..hint of peach
Taste of sweet malts...citrus fruits...bit of peach..hint of diacetyl...slight peppery hop...seemed a little muddled
Palate - soft carb...medium body..oily fairly rich texture. Finish of sweet malts..some bitterness and a bit of an acidic sourness that lingers
Overall - hmm hmm...not all that keen on this one...very average
