An Englishman’s first love is his brown ale. However, in the summer he often fancies blondes instead! With this inspiration, we’ve created Newcastle Bombshell, an English style blonde ale. The combination of Cascade, Hellertau and Northdown hops balance this golden coloured ale’s light aroma and bitterness with toasted malt to ensure a silky smooth finish. After one sip of this brew, we’re sure you’ll agree she’s a real bombshell.

12oz bottle poured out yellowish color with white head. Sweet malty aroma. The flavor was more sweet than what I liked. Not a fan favorite of this one. Take it leave it and I left it.

Draft. Pours a dark gold with a finger of white head. Aroma of biscuit and a little dank hops. Taste is light bitter. A little grape skin and some herbal and citrus hops with a bit of biscuity malt. Light bodied with a somewhat thin texture. Lively carbonation and a long finish. Overall, not bad. A little light for my taste.

Poured from 12oz bottle. Very tasty and smooth. Nice little hop bite. Decent mouthfeel for a session beer. --you've been Dubbed.

Bottle. Pours like any other anonymous macro ... clear, golden, smelling of corn and sugar, bright white head. Drinks with a distinct, toasted malt character. Not quite as cracker-smacked as some macros, presenting instead with a solid malt backbone and a decently interesting smack on ths finish. (#5089, 7/1/2013)

Every single one of these Newcastle seasonals are absolute crap and I am officially done with them. Done.

Bottle from Total Wine in Folsom, CA. Pours brassy gold with a slight foamy white head. Aroma is lightly malty with a light hop mix. Med minus body. Flavor is a rather old malt with some citrus and grass - but the malt is roasty, and that’s somewhat interfering with the hop aspects. It’s drinkable, but not really working for me.

12ounce bottle. Pours a clear golden yellow with a one inch white head that lasts. Good amount of carbonation. Taste is of malt, grass, grain, floral and hops. Mostly clean aroma. Has a decent body with a slightly dry and bitter finish. Very easy to drink, refreshing and rather enjoyable.

A crisp summer brew with a light body, slick texture, and long finish. Medium bitterness and lightly sweet. Enjoyable overall.

Bottled, golden color with decent frothy foam, metallic aroma with metallic fruit flavors, rounded finish

Serving: 12 oz. bottle from Wegmans Leesburg. A solid yellow color with a short lived head of white foam. The nose reminds me of a euro lager. The flavor has a mild bitterness paired with a little butter and grain. Overall, thin and flimsy on the palate, lacking character and flavor.
