3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
A crisp summer brew with a light body, slick texture, and long finish. Medium bitterness and lightly sweet. Enjoyable overall.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Serving: 12 oz. bottle from Wegmans Leesburg. A solid yellow color with a short lived head of white foam. The nose reminds me of a euro lager. The flavor has a mild bitterness paired with a little butter and grain. Overall, thin and flimsy on the palate, lacking character and flavor.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Golden pour with a white head. Aroma is grains. Taste is light, bisquity, grassy. Ok beer. I am glad I sampled it at the store rather than buy a bottle. I like the commercial way more than the beer though.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Newcastle Bombshell has a medium-to-thick, creamy, white head and a clear, bubbly, golden appearance. Lacing is pretty nice. The aroma is pungent, with a relatively strong, sweet & sour, beery smell, and the flavor is a white-wine, grain, lemon, and lightly-toasted barley mix. Actually, it tastes much more of alcohol than the 4.4%, but it all works. There is a fairly strong, somewhat sour aftertaste. Also, there is a nice, hefty bitterness present. Mouthfeel is light to medium and somewhat oily, and Newcastle Bomshell finishes mostly dry, refreshing, and quite drinkable. This is not a dull beer, and can go toe to toe with any other summer ale. Overall, it’s delicious, and I strongly suggest try it. RJT

3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Not much of an aroma and not sickening sweet like some other blond ales. Not a huge head but a great taste....light.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: SEP 6, 2014 From a 12 ounce bottle into an english pint glass and for some reason, thinking the ale should be a bit more darker, but of course not, this is a pale blond!
a nice, quick hop hit mixes well with words.
T’ain’t bad and I enjoy the marketing that goes into Newcastle’s "limited editions", still.

1.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Bottle. Pours a clear gold copper with minimal white head, settles to nothing in seconds, no lacing. Aroma is sweet, alcohol, fruity. Flavor is fruity, pear, perhaps a hint o’ hops, yeasty, bread, with a very mild malt finish, bitter aftertaste. Moderate carbonation. light body, and watery texture. Not really sure what I just drank, but it’s not doing it for me. A real British drain pour.

1.1 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 3/20
Pours the color of bud light with a similar head. Skunky nose ala Heineken. Muddled taste... I was expecting the clean crispness of Heineken but instead I got a mash up of dirty malt water, soap and lemon pledge. Very low carbonation. Not good at all.
As honest_silu says, "low boost".

2.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Pours clear gold with a finger of white head. Aroma is very sweet with pungent caramel notes and some slight hoppiness. The flavor is a vast reduction of the aroma, and is seemingly a watered-down version of what the bouquet had promised. This is still a very drinkable albeit depressing beer from Newcastle.
