COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
An Englishman’s first love is his brown ale. However, in the summer he often fancies blondes instead! With this inspiration, we’ve created Newcastle Bombshell, an English style blonde ale. The combination of Cascade, Hellertau and Northdown hops balance this golden coloured ale’s light aroma and bitterness with toasted malt to ensure a silky smooth finish. After one sip of this brew, we’re sure you’ll agree she’s a real bombshell.

From a 12 ounce bottle into an english pint glass and for some reason, thinking the ale should be a bit more darker, but of course not, this is a pale blond! T’ain’t bad and I enjoy the marketing that goes into Newcastle’s "limited editions".

Bottle. Pours a clear gold copper with minimal white head, settles to nothing in seconds, no lacing. Aroma is sweet, alcohol, fruity. Flavor is fruity, pear, perhaps a hint o’ hops, yeasty, bread, with a very mild malt finish, bitter aftertaste. Moderate carbonation. light body, and watery texture. Not really sure what I just drank, but it’s not doing it for me. A real British drain pour.

Pours the color of bud light with a similar head. Skunky nose ala Heineken. Muddled taste... I was expecting the clean crispness of Heineken but instead I got a mash up of dirty malt water, soap and lemon pledge. Very low carbonation. Not good at all.

As honest_silu says, "low boost".

Pours clear gold with a finger of white head. Aroma is very sweet with pungent caramel notes and some slight hoppiness. The flavor is a vast reduction of the aroma, and is seemingly a watered-down version of what the bouquet had promised. This is still a very drinkable albeit depressing beer from Newcastle.

I am much fan of the gr8 new castle brown ale. I could not turn down this blonde beaut beer of sexy lady and splendor. I am not like this as much as the brown ale type, but do enjoy in hot sun after much work. Also wish for more alcohol... 4.4% = low boost.

From the 12 fl. oz. bottle marked 28-02-Y-L039-24/19:01. It pours pale yellow with a fizzy but quick lasting white head. The aroma is of pale malts, light hops, with yeast that smells like cardboard or a musty attic. The body is light. The taste is grainy with a low bitterness at the end. So far Newcastle has not impressed me with their non-Brown ale recipes.

Tap@ TacoMac, Cumming. Clear, golden pour. White foam. Smells of wet cardboard box, stale grains, butter. Tastes like curdled butter left on the counter. Sharp hop bitterness, like sucking in a piece of bark. Do they really like this in the UK. (3727)

Location: Draft at Surf City, 6/8/13

Aroma: The nose has buttered bread, some stale malts, and not much else
Appearance: This one pours a golden color with a white head atop it
Flavor: The flavor is pretty much the buttery mess I expected from the nose
Palate: The body is light-medium, and it actually has a decent feel if you can get past the taste
Overall Impression: This was just a terrible beer. I found it to be a complete mess. I could barely get through a couple of sips. It seems like other have given this a better score, so perhaps we got it from a bad keg, because the one I had was just not good at all.

Location/Date:Draft at Surf City Jersey City on June 8th, 2013.

Appearance: Pours a clear gold.
Aroma: Aroma of light butter.
Taste: Butter, faint biscuit. Gross.
Palate:Light body.

Summary: One of the worst beers I’ve had in awhile..maybe the tap line was bad, don’t know.

Bottle. Amber pour with white head. Smells of toasted malts and slight hops. Tastes of the same. Decent beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
