An Englishman’s first love is his brown ale. However, in the summer he often fancies blondes instead! With this inspiration, we’ve created Newcastle Bombshell, an English style blonde ale. The combination of Cascade, Hellertau and Northdown hops balance this golden coloured ale’s light aroma and bitterness with toasted malt to ensure a silky smooth finish. After one sip of this brew, we’re sure you’ll agree she’s a real bombshell.

Dark golden body, good white head and nice lacing. Strong aroma of malt, some hoppy grass aroma and cardboard. Taste is dry, somewhat bitter with very strong malt notes almost whiskey like.

I would rate as an OK beer have had worse, very light won't say is a bombshell will drink again if I only have a limited option of choice.

Boring and a little bit of a stale finish. Nothing here to make me want to drink this again. Not even anything in the way of refreshign either.

Never seen or heard of this brew in the UK, so when I saw it on the tap list in the Burger Bar, Las Vegas I thought I had better get myself a pint and I did! A thin white head sat on top of the light amber body of the beer, it looked OK rather than awesome. Malts lead the way in both the aroma and taste with the hop content happy to balance out any true sweetness. Easy drinking and non offensive summertime brew, nothing to get excited about and although I enjoyed it, my taste buds were not required during the drinking of the beer.

Yellow/gold in color with thin head that quickly dissipates. Nose is of bread, moldy orange, and corn (but not horrible). Easy drinking. Hops are a bit muted. Nice carbonation.

Pours hazy golden with two finger head. Reminiscent of a light beer. An easy drinker. Good summer sipper but that’s about all.

Pours pale gold into a Sam glass. Bright white head with little retention recedes to skim surface. Sour malt aromas. Soft with sour cooked vegetables and caramel front to back. Nasty

Bottle at my parent’s home. Poured a totally clear golden yellow color with a medium sized, foamy white head. aroma was light malt, touch of sweetness, a little bit of earthy character to it. Flavor was sweet light malts. Crisp, drinkable, but I’d rather just drink their brown ale.

Easy drinking blonde pale ale. Pretty light on the hoppiness but an easy drinking summer brew.

Presentation: It was poured from a brown 12oz bottle into and pint glass. The label lists the abv at 4.4% and there is a short description of the beer on the back. Appearance: The body has a nice clear golden yellow color with about a finger thick white head on top. The head faded quickly leaving a nearly naked beer in the glass. Smell: In the nose I get a mild grassy hop presence with a slight touch of lemony citrus hops and very light sour dough bread notes as well. Taste/Palate: Bombshells flavor starts with a base of sourdough bread like maltiness with a thin grassy and flat earthy hop presence for balance. I also picked up some light toasted notes and even a very slight oxidized flavor in the finish. Notes: Overall this one just didn’t impress me.
