COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
An Englishmanís first love is his brown ale. However, in the summer he often fancies blondes instead! With this inspiration, weíve created Newcastle Bombshell, an English style blonde ale. The combination of Cascade, Hellertau and Northdown hops balance this golden coloured aleís light aroma and bitterness with toasted malt to ensure a silky smooth finish. After one sip of this brew, weíre sure youíll agree sheís a real bombshell.

Skunk, pecan, grassy noble hops, and a touch of honey on the aroma. Clear golden, thick head. Pecan initially, honey at midpalate, peanut butter finish. Light body, low bitterness. Interesting transitions and very nutty for the style. Fair amount of character. Lower quality than a typical British golden ale, but not really that far off.

Golden amber color with small head. Bready aroma. Bready and sour taste with a light overall flavor. Good beer.

12 oz. bottle. Pours a medium, well retained, white head, with slight lacing, over a clear, light gold (SRM 4) body.....nose is toasted malts with cereal, biscuit, toast, light herbal tones from the hops, no esters....taste is cereal forward, with toast biscuit notes, dry throughout, light herbal hop and final mild bitterness, no esters.....mouth feel, medium body, minimal acid, crisp finish. Balance throughout is towards the gentle malt back bone, with toasted cereal dominating. The hops are a soft balance to the malts. This is a crisp, very light refreshing beer. The style is mild, light, and minimally hopped, with a low alcohol level. As such it will be poorly rated by the average taster. BJCP 8/3/15/5/7

Clear pale gold pour with a 2 finger, soapy to creamy bright white head. Aroma is sweet cereal, a little apple, butter, fruity and spicy hops. Flavor is butter and cereal most of the way until a finish that folds some spicy hops, fruit and a little earthy foliage into the mix. Light to medium body, slightly slick on entry, light, spritzy carbonation and off dry, sort of mineral water finish. Meh.

12 oz. bottle from Wilburís. Appearance: two fingers white head, golden yellow color, clear, Aroma: molasses, barnyard, cereal, light floral. Palate: light-medium body, average carbonation, lasting light bitter finish, slightly dry. Taste: nice molasses sweetness into a slight tannin bitterness that lasts for a few seconds. Overall, sort of impressed, very drinkable, nothing special, but a good drinking beer.

Pours a perfectly pale straw color with a respectable head and nice lacing on the glass.

The aroma is just really pretty grainy with some light breakfast cereal sweetness. Itís lightly fruity, but itís really nothing especially inviting.

The flavor is a bit nicer than the aroma, itís got some zippy hoppiness & a whole lot of doughy & grainy malt character. Itís lightly peppery and the sweetness isnít out of line. The grainy character throws everything off though, I do wish that was toned down a notch.

"Also wish for more alcohol... 4.4% = low boost."

Drank from bottle. Smells of grain and hay. Taste is sour for a blonde. Not a fan

This beer isnít a bombshell, but my wife did drop a small bomb on me when I was drinking. Only that she wanted to buy a new coffee maker despite the current one being perfectly fine. That plus we were down to our last $100 and this thing cost $50. Iím like - hey letís wait, we have to make this money last 10 days! But we got the coffee maker anyway. This pale, lightly grassy, mostly boring blond ale did nothing to make me feel better.

Pours a clear golden color with a decent white colored head. Aroma is pungent hay, maybe a slight honey, and a lot of skunk. Taste is the exact same, very unpleasant. One of the worse beers Iíve ever had, would pour it down the drain if it didnít contain alcohol. Each and every note not only doesnít taste good, it actively works against the palate tasting badly.
