COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
An Englishman’s first love is his brown ale. However, in the summer he often fancies blondes instead! With this inspiration, we’ve created Newcastle Bombshell, an English style blonde ale. The combination of Cascade, Hellertau and Northdown hops balance this golden coloured ale’s light aroma and bitterness with toasted malt to ensure a silky smooth finish. After one sip of this brew, we’re sure you’ll agree she’s a real bombshell.

I don’t like real hoppy beer and I don’t know a lot but this is very good. Refreshing. Nice balance of bold flavor without being too bitter. The finish isn’t perfect but very good. It makes me want another drink.

Newcastle Bombshell has a medium-to-thick, creamy, white head and a clear, bubbly, golden appearance. Lacing is pretty nice. The aroma is pungent, with a relatively strong, sweet & sour, beery smell, and the flavor is a white-wine, grain, lemon, and lightly-toasted barley mix. Actually, it tastes much more of alcohol than the 4.4%, but it all works. There is a fairly strong, somewhat sour aftertaste. Also, there is a nice, hefty bitterness present. Mouthfeel is light to medium and somewhat oily, and Newcastle Bomshell finishes mostly dry, refreshing, and quite drinkable. This is not a dull beer, and can go toe to toe with any other summer ale. Overall, it’s delicious, and I strongly suggest try it. RJT

Pours a clear yellow with a white head. Nose is citrus hops. Palate is medium body with citrus and a hop mild bitterness. Lingering aftertaste.

Bottle: pours a very light golden with a frothy white head. I love the aroma... Sweet, flowery honey. The flavor is crisp and sweet, but with a nice full mouthfeel. I really enjoyed this way more than I thought I would.

Pours a light yellow with no head or lacing. The aroma is of rich yeasty wheat rolls with little hops. The taste is of bitter pine sap and wheat. Yummy yummy!

The aroma is hoppy with grassy and citrus notes but mostly malty. The appearance is golden with an average head. The taste is simple but effective. The palate is average and the finish buttery. Overall a winner!

Pours clear golden tan with a small lasting head. Very little aroma. Flavor is well balanced with a crisp, clean mouthfeel. This would be a great session ale for a hot summer day.

Blonde appearance with decent head. VERY sweet and malty aroma - almost like honey. Flavor and body are lighter, crisp, and grainy, though still sweet. Balanced well with grassy hops. Dang, I liked this much more than I was anticipating - taste exceeding the aroma and palate in particular. A fine golden blonde ale.

12oz bottle into a pint glass. Pours a clear medium gold with just a thin white head that is quick to disappear. Just some sparse lacing on the sides of the glass. Aroma of grain with a little bit of toast and spicy hops. Some honey in there as well. Not bad at all but a little weak. More grain and honey on the taste with some caramel sneaking through. The flavor packs a lot more punch than the aroma and really is pretty good. Spicy/grassy hops punch through with a moderate bitterness that lingers for a long while. Overall, not a bad effort from Newcastle on a light and summery brew. A bit better than I was expecting and i would consider picking up some more of this.

Golden pour into pint glass. Nose hints at some honey and hops. A good session beer that is lighter without tasting too watery. Some honey and cereal in the flavor. The carbonation is lively and finishes well with some citrus bitterness. I was hesitant to buy this one but am glad I took a chance. I would buy again for sure.
