An Englishman’s first love is his brown ale. However, in the summer he often fancies blondes instead! With this inspiration, we’ve created Newcastle Bombshell, an English style blonde ale. The combination of Cascade, Hellertau and Northdown hops balance this golden coloured ale’s light aroma and bitterness with toasted malt to ensure a silky smooth finish. After one sip of this brew, we’re sure you’ll agree she’s a real bombshell.

Review sample. Has that slightly sugary smell I get with a lot of blond ales, but this is also upfront with some earthy English hops. Look is just fine, a clear golden yellow ale with a stiff finger-width head. Taste is, luckily, drier than the usual blonde ale. English hops stay at the front, making this largely a lighter version of a session bitter. Nice carbonation helps deliver points of hop bitterness. Full taste for a slighter lighter beer.

Poured from a12 OZ bottle into a pint glass. Aroma- Has a yeasty malt aroma Appearance- A pale yellow with a large white head. Taste- disappointing to me, has a yeasty to bread flavor with malt that doesn’t come across well to me. Palate- A medium bodied beer with moderate carbonation, not that spectacular Overall- I gave this an average rating, it did nothing for me. I would drink this again if handed one.

Apple-ish fruity English yeast, sweet, caramel malty aroma and flavor. Subtle floral character. Lingering sweetness.

Pour out of 12 oz bottle, clear yellow pour with white head aroma brought notes of biscuit, bread, some grass and earthy hops, not much in there. Taste is a bit of corn, grass, some floral notes into slight cereal, finishing slightly sweet, dry.

bottle @ Party Town / Florence KY --- Clear medium amber, 1" head cover, sheets of lace. Aroma of malt and margarine. Taste is oily oleo malt that moves to a medium finish without change. Not appealing, but, possibly in the early stages of skunkiness. Not recommended.

Pours clear golden color with a 1-finger white head. Aroma of corn, with a lemony note and maybe some yeast. Body is light and somewhat watery, with a brief finish. Flavor has notes of grass and lemon, with a biscuit malt backbone.

Bottle: Golden color with a finger of white head. Nose is moderate, sort of reminds me of the brown, a nutty and roasty base with faint hops. Sort of has that same nutty and malty taste as the brown, but less of it. It would be safe to say I’ve had better.

Bottle to half-pint glass (shared with the Mrs.). Looks solid; a transparent pale golden orange with eggshell head that steadily dissipates into lacing. Smells of mild but pleasant hops and yeast. Tastes like it smells, but blander. Average on the palate. Not bad, but not good either.

Sub-par watery beverage brewed with low quality malts and skunked hops. Fair amount of adjuncts for lightness and cost-savings. Spend your money elsewhere, this one’s bad.

Bottle. Poured clear pale color with an average white frothy head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate floral hop and malt aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. Good drinkable brew.
