Jordiam (70), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada Jul 27, 2009 Can at the LCBO - Very nice beer... well, since it’s macrobrewed. Pours a light brown with a medium falling head. Clean aroma of malts and very slight copper and nuts. Tastes kind of bland, but definitely great for a hot day. An alright brown ale, but not my first choice for a brown by a long shot. DeadGirl (192), West Palm Beach, Florida, USA Jul 24, 2009 On draught at Archie Moore’s in Milford, CT: Pours a deep brownish, amber hue, aroma is faint of hops. Not a crispy, fizzy beer like the distinction known of other particular macros- this one has body and a good balance of hops linger on the palatte with a hint of caramel notes. The only complaint I have is that it’s way too watery. Simply put, it’s drinkable and ok... for a macro. finol (475), Nacka (Stockholm), Sweden Jul 23, 2009 Bottle at some random pub.
Pours dark amber with a nice head.
This is an OK beer, a bit to thin body makes it a bit watery. wkalle (110), Sweden Jul 22, 2009 Pours B... with large offwhite head. Matly aroma, malty flavor (feels a bit artificial) with a bitter finish. Carbonation is stingy on the tongue and a bit unpleasant. Watery palate. bswi007 (23), USA Jul 20, 2009 A dark amber beer with a hoppy aroma. Good creamy head that lasts. A little bitter to drink, but has good depth. Not bad, but I wouldn’t want more than 1 or 2 at a time. Travlr (700), Washington, Washington DC, USA Jul 19, 2009 Well, I have no real complaints about this beer. Decent enough caramel taste with a decent amount of hops thrown in. Drinkable. ben4321 (960), Rockville, Maryland, USA Jul 15, 2009 Overall Impression:
A nice balanced beer that is one of the better Macro(ish) options at many places. A solid, tasty brew, that looks even better when you are at a bar/restaurant where the options are something like: various BMC options, maybe a Killian’s, a Heineken, and this. CUJO (339), Brooklyn, New York, USA Jul 15, 2009 Tap @ Social NYC: Pours a clear amber/ brown, not much head to speak of. Nose is light, maybe some sweet malts? Taste is mild, some complexity between bitter and sweet although very thin. Overall very drinkable.
