Certainly a decent beer. A bit thin bodied, but with a nice taste for a relatively common beer.

I drank it from the bottle. Smelled of honey with a sour note. Taste was sweet and also had a honey characteristic about it. Was drinkable and enjoyable enought

Bottle 50 cl. Pours a reddish brown with a small white head and a pilsener-like aroma of fishy hops and some malts. The tast is high on sweet malts with some hints of fruits, cream, toffee and some honey. A nice beer but not too special

Beer appears to be crystal clear honey brown in my glass slightly ruby red in color when held up to the light, a thick tan cap was produced during the pour and had fairly good retention lasting a bit over half the beer. Malty smelling maybe just a touch sour, the aroma is very mild and hard to detect but at least this means it doesn’t smell bad. Very mild tasting beer but still good, sweet malts some subtle creamy berry like flavors and that’s about all I can describe from the little I’m picking up, there’s not much flavor to describe but what there is to taste taste’s great. Medium bodied and produces a great amount of belting after beer has been finished. Taste clean and refreshing, deffantly a high quality brew, this way better then I ever remembered it.

Pours clear nut brown with a reddish hue with a light brown head. The aroma is quite malty with toasted malt, butterscotch, caramel and some biscuit. Medium / light body with semi-sharp carbonation. The flavor starts off with lightly sweet toasted malt, bits of biscuit, low bitterness and on the watery side. The finish has a fruity side and minor hops along with a bit of diacetyl. Fair.

Newcastle Brown Ale is something that I have had many times. Each time I am left quite satisfied. It leaves a large frothy tan head upon being poured, but dissipates rather quickly. The aroma is very slight, but the color is a fantastic rich copper. Do not over chill this brew, because the true malt flavors only become evident if consumed slightly warm. This comes as a warning to those who do not like their beverages tepid in temperature. Over all it is a solid representation of a brown ale.
