I think this beer is fantastic! It tastes rather wheaty. It is the only beer of its kind and it has won four gold awards which I think it deserves. It is 4.7% but it is rather deceptive. I have to admit I find this beer stronger than most 5% beers. It’s the yen an’ anny!

Had this a million times. Nice clear brown brew with a good sized tan head. Smells of toasted malts, maybe caramel...maybe...and more malts. Taste is all malts and I’m pretty sure they don’t even brew this with hops. Too bad sometimes the flavour comes out on the empty side. Always goes down smooth and a somewhat flat, but that isn’t bad in this case. I can put back a couple litres of this in a night no prob. Drink up.

pours brown with a head that didnt last. tastes very plain. pretty plain all around.

12 oz bottle. Pours a reddish-brown with negligible head. Aroma is very weak, mostly earthy hops. Very thin for a brown ale and very dry. Not much is going on a flavor side. I love brown ales but this one is terrible beer. I could not finish a bottle. The beer is easily available everywhere but this is the last time I try it.

1pt bottle poured into a dimpled mug. Pours amber brown with negligible head. Nose is subdued dark fruits and maybe some honey. Flavor is very mild of dark fruits. Finish is very short. This is a very mild beer in all respects. It would make a good session beer.

Pours a red-brown with a fizzy white head. Aroma is very sweet, mostly of malts. Flavor starts with vanilla and finishes with honey and malts. Pretty smooth, but just a tad too fizzy for me. Decent beer.

Bottle. Pours a nice ruby, white head. Mild vanilla aroma overshadowed by nuts and honey. Very sweet honey flavor with vanilla and molasses, balanced by a little bitterness. Fizzy but smooth, with a dry finish.

Pours a reddish-brown. Has a strong smell of malt. Very smooth with quite a bit of carbonation. Tastes like caramel and nuts. Nothing special, but it’s a decent beer, especially being that it’s mass produced.
