What a relief. Tried this after a red stripe. Pours to a medium tan head. Has the scent of hopps and barley. Goes down very smooth with no aftertaste. Serve this to someone you like.

Weak aroma of roasted malt. Pours dark red-brown, with a thin light tan head that soon dissipates. A nice sweet maltness up front, but corn soon dominates and a metallic flavor grows towards the finish. Very watery. An okay beer.

The aroma is very fruity and has a touch of roasted malts. The beer has a nice brown/amber color with a decent head. Flavor is of caramel and some roasted malts. Great beer which works anytime, anywhere.

12 oz. bottle. Pours a clear brown with a small, creamy, light tan head. Nuts and malt dominate the nose. Medium carbonation with a medium mouthfeel. Palate follows the nose with nuts, lightly roasted malt, and a touch of caramel. A clean, medium-short finish. Something about this one is just a bit hollow. Okay, but nothing great.

Newcastle pours a ruddy brown, quite clear, with a bit of creamy tan head. The nose is fairly malty, with notes of caramel and toast. There is a prominent cooked corn sweetness to the aroma, indicating dimethyl sulfide(DMS). Some consider this an integral part of the character of certain beers, but I’d call it a flaw. The flavor is strongly corny, with a bit of malt in the background and prominent sweetness. There is just a hint of dark malt character coming off as a bit of roastiness. The palate is smooth and creamy, almost satiny.

The aroma was very hoppy and reminded me more of a lager than an ale. However, the aroma was still nice and pleasant. The beer itself is less pleasing than the aroma. As far as taste goes, it’s bland, watery and thin. Compared to other ales, this one isn’t great by any means. However, it is better than American lagers, and I would drink it again.

(Tap @ Pub Nice Home, Turku) Amber, thick tan head. Smells "English"; sweetish malt, already hints of hops. Slight malt, mostly hoppy bitterness. A little stuffy finish, otherwise refreshing.
