Barreras (121), Diamond Bar, California, USA Mar 1, 2009 Updated: Jul 1, 2009An amber brown colored beer with a nut brown flavor. A mild sweetness to it. A very good drinking brown ale. After sampling darker brown ales this beer lacks a little. But still has a place in my heart for its one of my first brown ales. dnoaksson (144), , Sweden Feb 28, 2009 En mysig ale som dessvärre ger ett något blekt och mesigt intryck. Målar med utspädda färger och entusiasmerar bara till en viss gräns. Medelmåttig, kort och gott. rabba9 (61), Chaska, Minnesota, USA Feb 27, 2009 Updated: Mar 28, 2009Aroma: Nutty
Appearance: Brown with a hint of Amber
Flavor: Caramel and Nutty
Palate: Sweet,Watery, Carbonation
Overall Impression: Above average brown ale. Tastes better on tap than in bottle which has adds a hint of skunkiness. fromred2green (140), , Ohio, USA Feb 27, 2009 Tap. Pours a dark amber-brown with a medium off-white head. Aroma is slightly nutty and sweet. Excellent flavor, although not very malty or hoppy. Very well-balanced beer. Slightly sweet and nutty finish. One of the first great beers I ever had and I still love it. mkel07 (494), Brisbane, Australia Feb 26, 2009 500ml can. Poured a coppery brown into the glass with a medium white to tan head. Low bitterness and aroma of barley. Quite surprised at how good this was. iamqueensblvd (178), , Iowa, USA Feb 22, 2009 My first brown ale i had ever had. At the time i found it very flavorful, not quite so much now. Still a damn solid beer with lots of flavor. Pours nice and dark with a nutty aroma. nathan30533 (138), Dahlonega, Georgia, USA Feb 14, 2009 Pours a lite brown color. Very smooth and sweet brown ale. Much better draft then from the skunky clear color bottle. Good brown ale, not great. joeyplush (328), Garnet Valley, Pennsylvania, USA Feb 13, 2009 12 oz. bottle. Dark caramel color, thin off-white head and minimal lacing. Skunky aroma when you first open it. After it airs, aroma of caramel malt and dough/yeast. Flavor of malt, and light spices. Finish is a bit watery but with a sweet malt after-taste. One of my early favorite dark beers.
