Newcastle Brown Ale

Bottle.

Can’t believe I never rated this one before. Color: look at the bottle. It’s clear glass. :(

Slightly off diaper-and-skunk nose. Toasted malt and malt powder slightly sour, lots melon, very little hop profile. Watery, pretty close to boring but not outright objectionable.

(Draught at Bull & Bear, Stockholm, 8 Oct 2008) Dark reddish brown colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, slightly roasted nose with grain, fodder and hints of dark fruit. Malty taste with notes of dark fruit, prunes, caramel, syrup and toasted grain. Low bitterness, medium body, rather sweet. Simple and boring.

Pours dark reddish-amber with thin creamy head. citrus malty aroma. Smooth roasted nutty medium sweet taste. low-medium carbonation. Subtle bitterness in aftertaste. Very drinkable...I’ll have another.

Light brown in color , barely any carbination , notes of toffee , very smooth...

Bottle . Light Brown color with almost no head.Nutty,spicy,slightly skunk aroma. Flavor of dry grain and caramel with a touch of sweetness.Loads of carbonation but none apparent in the mouth.Crisp finish.Drinkable

ahh another classic from my youth! pours dark brown not very fizzy. nice burned toast nose to it. flavour is sweet and malty with a tea aftertaste. forgotten how good this beer is.

bottle. nice malty aroma that pours a medium dark brown. taste is somewhat sweet with a nice finish.

caramel, floral, earthy, brown, clear, frothy, medium sweetness, medium body, creamy, soft carbonation, long finish,
