Tap at Sports Page in Sarasota. Wow, this is the 2197th rating, so what can I add. Brown beer without a head, some nutty aroma, good tasting. Totally enjoyable experience as I was at a sports bar watching the Tampa Bay Rays clinch their first American League pennent ever!!! Also, the Bucs game was playing so I had something to keep me busy during the commercials.

Poured from can. Poured very nice. Dark color, with thin head. Rich aroma, somewhat chocolate. Full flavor, not heavy like an ale though, but a nice surprise. Nice aftertaste. Great!!

(bottle) pours a dark ruby colour with a frothy off-white head. aroma of bitter hops, brown bread, with a light fruitiness and caramel. flavour has a more pronounced peachy fruitiness, along with more brown bread, lightly grainy pale malts, herbal hops and caramel. medium carbonation and body.

Many a hangovers from this stuff at parties. Was my main drinking beer through highschool. Pretty good for a mass produced brown just lacking in everything. Compared to a real brown ale this one is instantly obsolete.

500ml can. Deep brown color with reddish hints. No head. Sweet malty aroma with ryepudding and something that I can’t quite catch..red wine?. Decent mouthfeel with small fizz, smooth.. Aroma is sour and mild, little bit sweet malts also little bit watery end. Easy going ale.

Bottle.

Can’t believe I never rated this one before. Color: look at the bottle. It’s clear glass. :(

Slightly off diaper-and-skunk nose. Toasted malt and malt powder slightly sour, lots melon, very little hop profile. Watery, pretty close to boring but not outright objectionable.
