1.1 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 2/20
UPDATED: MAR 7, 2003 Clear brown in color, decent white head, malty and nutty aroma. starts sweet with a mild nutty flavor, very bland, body thin and watery, I think this brown ale is overated there are much better ones out there, I have had it more than a few times and dislike it more each time.

I really hated this beer at first, but it grows on you. It’s taste used to remind me of cough syrup and mint tea mixed. I once drank it after a guinness and it tasted better than ever, though. Give it a try.

2.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
UPDATED: JUN 22, 2003 Somewhat watery and bland. Good and refreshing though, I found a reason to drink this beer: it's an in-between beer. You drink it inbetween the big beers to clean your palate. I had this right after an IPA and right before some Chimay. I guess what you call a 'session' beer, but I wouldn't want to drink this on its own.

I can’t believe that I haven’t had this until now. The Guinness of brown ales. Very light, fruity flavor. Completely unoriginal.

This is my favorite beer, Its kind of sweet, but has a full bodied taste. If only they didnt put it in a clear bottle, so it would keep longer

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Another rerate while doing some house cleaning. Once again a beer i once found stellar that my now more seasoned palate finds fairly bland. Not bad but there’s so much better beer to be drank.

My friend from NewCastle, England told me this was brewed using pigs blood. I don’t know how accurate that is, but I know if it is true I hope they keep it up. Excellent beer.

Very weak and quite tasteless beer, but it sure has a lovely colour and head.
