Newcastle Brown Ale was first brewed in 1927 in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, England, by Jim Porter after three years of development. Production moved from Newcastle to Gateshead at the end of 2004.

I LOVE NEWCASTLE!! 2 everynight with dinner because I know it will satisfy me, I wil try others on the weekends or sometime.

Starts off with a medium malty flavor and dies off a bit at the end. It’s smooth and refreshing. Above average overall experience.

On tap. Light brown in color. Very little head. Sweet malty aroma. Pretty smooth overall. Malty caramel flavors with a bit of a bitter finish. Not bad but tasted a bit watered down. If you really want a treat try the Rogue HazelNut Brown Nectar.

bottle - amber golden beer with almost no foam on top. Malty sweet aroma. Flavour is malty and nutty but a little bit watery.

Getting my notebook online. Bottle. A good drinking beer. Nothing too crazy, smooth and refreshing malt flavors.

20.09.2008, 0,5l Can. The colour is brown :-) Aroma is malty ale.A little sweet, and not very bitter. Aftertaste is a little week but sweet and smooth. Nice!

Pours light brown, very little head that is gone by the time you throw the bottle away. Even though I always get a headache with this beer it’s not that bad. Slightly sweet and bitter. Much better on tap, I’m sure the clear bottle doesn’t help it.

Pours transparent brown, little head diminishing fully. Vinous/citrus sour aromas and some berry fruitiness. Flavour is initially bitter goes to a sour acetic flavour, ending cleanly.
