Draft- Weaver. Dark brown, aroma of richly roasted malt, surprisingly full-bodied. Very good beer... malts were nicely toasted, a bit smoky, and a rich palate. Not much on the hops side. An interesting contrast to the Sierra Nevada I just had before this one. A bit on the sweeter side, so 1 or 2 of these in a sitting would be plenty. Interesting comments below about the freshness of the beer and how it impacts the flavor. Mine was definitely fresh and it showed. This was a nice beer.

Bottle. Pours red brown with a beige head. Light aroma and flavor of caramel malt and brown sugar on top of a rather thin body.

I was always a mild fan of beer, until I had my first Newcastle Brown Ale. Like Obi-wan helped Luke, this beer helped me take my "first step into a larger world". I still drink this beer regularly

A respectable beer for a macro. This was one beer that helped bring me down the road to micros. The aroma is sweet, somewhat sugary, with nut flavor and some bready/yeastiness. I have found that the fresher the beer, the better the finish; the freshest beer finishes with a sweet sugary finish and the older ones finish with a bit of a harsh finish. Respectable, and a go-to beer.

Draft at UNOs. Brown sugar and sour flavors. No head or carbonation. Not worth $7 for 22oz.

Bottle, 50cl. Light brown. A lot of dark flavours - nuts and caramel. Quite earthy. Drinkable in small volumes.

Pours a light brown color with a thin tan head. Smooth and quite drinkable but with a good deal of carbonation. Sweet flavor with hints of caramel. Okay beer.

Small, short lived head, nice brownish color, minimal nose, light on the tongue, very light but balanced flavors. I would enjoy it on a hot day, but not today.
