Can o.5 l. Bought Kvickly Hilleroed. Weak malt and nuts aroma. Colour beautiful golden amber with small beige head. Flavour slightly bitter, weak nuts, hops and caramel notes but rather anynomynous.

Snagged a bottle of this on a disgustingly hot summer day at Universal Studios Florida. Pours a reddish brown with a thin tan head. Kind of a sweet malty nutty taste. Easy to drink, but not the greatest brown ale.

Bottle. Desperation stuff. Only ever drunk in nightclubs as it’s not easy to water down. Traditional sweetness associated with the brown ale style is overwhelmed by an awful metallic tang at the back of the throat. As it’s vastly over-carbonated it leaves an unpleasant feel in the mouth. ’The One and Only’? Thank fuck. The drink of choice for knob heads.

New Castle Brown has long been one of my favorites. I think this is delicious from the bottle ot from tap. The only thing with this beer is that when it is bad, it is bad! I love the malty caramel taste of this beer and it is very smooth. It is also great to use in Belgian Stew as it really compliments the beef without overpowering the stew or making it bitter.

Overall a really good brown ale. A little lower in ABV than customary, but is undistinuishable. Aroma of malts and maybe a bit of molasses, but I am not sure. Taste is crisp and a bit skunky, but not overwhelming. Colour is a beautiful dark brown. Need to try.

This beer gets a boost in my rating for being really the only beer that I truly like that I can find pretty much anywhere in New England. It certainly is my quintessential "beer run" brew when I haven’t planned ahead. Smooth and sweet.
