This is really the beer that turned me on to different tastes and styles. It’s medium bodied, but light in texture. Beautiful bright mahogany colour. the aroma is sweet and succulent, and the taste is even more incredible. often reminds me of apples. so delightful on the palate.

Canned 500ML. Brown, reddish body with a small head. Caramel aroma. Very thin, watery taste. A beer that you could drink all night but but it’s not a very interesting beer - actually kind of boring and very mediocre.

Not an incredibly great beer by any means, but about as drinkable as it gets without compromising on flavor. Subtle nutty and caramel flavors with a slight bitter hop finish. Not a challenging beer, but delicious nonetheless.

(Draught at Gastropub Soho, Tampere, on 2008-03-07) Dark brown, some red. Hardly any head. Sweel malty nose. Some roasted malt bitterness in taste.

Pours a clear brown color with a descent white head. Sweet roasted malt aromas with suggestions of nuts and caramel. Medium bodied with good carbonation. Appetizing malt flavor with hints of molases and dark bread dough, that gives way to a gentle hop finish. An excellent session beer that is dangerously drinkable. No wonder "Nookie Broon" is one of the best selling bottled ales in England and the US. Try with steak and patotoes, or a hearty meat dish.

Bottle. Sweet aroma of caramel and cola. Flavor is pretty watery with a bit of caramel and syrup notes. Really popular beer, can’t see why...

Very little head develops and what does develop does not last but a few seconds. Color is dark brown, kinda what you would expect from a brown ale. Flavor is overly watery and the taste is mildly nutty with subtle hints of caramel and syrup. This beer rides right in the middle of mediocre.

Easy to drink, nutty with some maltiness. The palate is overly watery for me and that along with a somewhat bland flavor mkae this beer mediocre
