Not much of an impression, and o aroma at all. But cold it taste good and it’s easy drinkable.

18.6 oz. bottle into pint glass. Clear brown copper color. Slightly roasted nutty flavor. Flavor is nutty a bit bitter and toasted. Very simple but very well-balanced. Light body with medium carbonation. A bit watery thin. Overall: kind of boring but very seasonable and flawless.

I am surprised this beer has as high a score as it does. It is a clear watery brown with no head. The taste is like water. It has a very mild nutty taste with a dash of hops that leads to a watery finish. Too thin & watery & is the worst brown I have had.

12oz can. Like another review stated," Not as good as remembered..." I haven’t had one in quite a while.... I was expecting... more. Poured into a tulip with a 1 in head. aroma was "ass" like....yes it smelled kinda like ass...It had an almost sour flavor...I’ll admit that brown ales aren’t my favorite, but this disappointed me...especially when you’re sampling several different beers at once...this one stands out...and not in a good way.... Still, I must pay homage to the brand. It was a "gateway" beer for me from BMC...Thanks for the memories Newcastle..

Nice smooth and easy drinking brown. Though its more filling than I usually like, this beer is a great stand by for bars that don’t have much of a beer selection. Not bad at all.

12 oz bottle. Pours brown with a tiny quickly vanishing head. It has a pleasant aroma. It tastes a little of caramel and toffee. This is a very easy to drink uncomplicated beer.

Nice brown pour, just a hint of hops in the aroma, sweet malty flavor. Much better on tap.
