Newcastle Brown Ale

12 oz bottle. Pours brown with a tiny quickly vanishing head. It has a pleasant aroma. It tastes a little of caramel and toffee. This is a very easy to drink uncomplicated beer.

Nice brown pour, just a hint of hops in the aroma, sweet malty flavor. Much better on tap.

I freely admit bias in this review.Newcastle was the first beer I ever fell in love with and it remains a faithful go to beer. Always satisfying if not demanding. This being my first review I felt it only fair to start with the brew that opened my eyes to what a beer could be.

Bottle. Pours a nice rich brown/amber color. Pleasant aroma which includes hops. Taste is also pleasant. Decent beer.

Sweet, simple, decent enough ale with no complexity. Good for a session ale if you have somewhat heartier food and no other options. I had it from the bottle though; I suspect it would be quite a bit better on tap.

From a bottle poured light brown with a fair amount of head. Nice bitter malty flavor with a lingering finish.

This is a beer I began to appreciate during my time in England. It is an affordable brown ale with an astounding flavor and appearance.
