ditmier (1019), Boise, Idaho, USA Apr 2, 2008 2008 Bottle - Grassy, malty...I don’t get it...there is nothing that makes this beer stand out but I love it just the same, perhaps my favourite brown... saxo (3511), Højbjerg, Aarhus, Denmark Apr 2, 2008 Bottle. Nice head with medium duration. Color is brown. Aroma and taste are sweet caramel and some lightly roasted malt. halfonit (419), Fall River, Massachusetts, USA Apr 1, 2008 Updated: Sep 4, 2009In the bottle or on Tap, this beer isn’t bad. It goes down nice and smooth. For a brown ale, it’s definitely one of my faves. BeerFanDan17 (610), Land O Lakes, Florida, USA Mar 31, 2008 A classic brown ale with that special UK flavor. Pours a sweet golden brown with a mix of malts, and sweet flavors, but overall ebough character to be an ale. italianjohn (337), Bensalem, Pennsylvania, USA Mar 30, 2008 Definitely one of my all time favs it looks a little intimidating at first but it has to be one of the smoothest going down nad most enjoyable beers made ...a little sweet ...... you can definitely find yourself pounding these or just relaxing with one .... definitely the one and only its an all purpose beer to me esjaygee (1467), Oak Creek, Wisconsin, USA Mar 30, 2008 Clear brown with medium tan head. Roasted malts & dough in the aroma. Watery & thin with a metallic finish. Eh, feels pretty macro to me. austone (998), Turku; Pori, Finland Mar 30, 2008 Canned. Dark copper, foamy beige head. Slightly metallic aroma with caramel malts and little hops. Flavor a bit syrupy caramel malts, light nuttiness. Dry finish with low bitterness. Light to medium bodied, quite foamy carbonation. Clean and harmless. tompete (72), Burlington, Iowa, USA Mar 30, 2008 Medium brown with a white head and decent lacing. Malty nose with a suggestion of hops. Moderate darker crystal malt flavor mixed with roast nuts and a medium body. Very smooth. Slightly bitter finish.
