Pretty standard Brown Ale. Good flavor for a beer that’s relatively inexpensive. My first choice when I’m pinching pennies.

Brown beer with a thin off-white coloured head. Thin to medium bodied and fairly watery overall. Sweetish flavours, slightly malty, with a lightly bitter finish. Not to bad - 550ml bottle.

Clear dark amber with a offwhite head. Malty aroma and taste with a touch of sweetness. Sure goes down smooth. I like it.

tap. pours copper with a sudsy tan head. tastes of carmel and light malt...not overwhelming but also not very flavorful. found it to be smooth and enjoyable, but not a stand out brown ale.

Served colder than a witches tit on tap somewhere in London village. Once it warmed up it was ok. A little bland and there are much better brown ale’s. Nice dark amber colour with off white head. A little bland I thought but certainly drinkable. I prefer the Holts Manchester Ale but that could be my city rivalry talking. It isn’t, it’s better imo.

Had it on tap at Darby O Gills in Levittown PA. A great darker amber color. Nice off white head. Malty smell, also hints of figs. Smells great. Great malty taste, with a great bitterness. I like this brown ale a lot!

Bouteille transparente de 330 ml. La bière est de couleur cuivrée avec des reflets bruns. Une mousse blanche nous accompagnes pendant un certain temps pour ensuite laisser place a un simple cercle. Au nez des arômes de moufettes, de noisettes, de caramel, de gazon et de malt grillé nous font apprécier les bonnes vieilles bouteilles transparentes ou vertes. En bouche le corps est mince- moyen, la texture est crèmeuse. Les flaveurs sont le caramel au beurre, le toffee, les noix grillés, l’herbe. Un léger goût terreux est aussi détectable. Le tout se termine avec une mini amertume. Je suis certain qu’en fût ou en cannette cette bière est bien meilleure.

2008 Bottle - Grassy, malty...I don’t get it...there is nothing that makes this beer stand out but I love it just the same, perhaps my favourite brown...
