UPDATED: MAY 2, 2014 Been enjoying this staple ale now for many a years and do so, still. Personally, I like it super, super cold so I will place a twelve ounce bottle in the freezer (I know one ainít supposed to, I know, I know-but it tastes so gooood) for a few mins. before pouring it into an english pint glass and quaffing it in and down by big, open gulps. My, oímy, to me, itís @ the top of the middle-of-the-road brown ales. .........of late, Iíve been purchasing the 14.9 ounce can ten pax and am growing rather fond of the results. no skunkiness. a few extra swallows, the cans crunch tightly into a return bag and the taste remains the same: good, as MOR can be.

500ml bottle. Pours dark mahogany with an off white foamy head which dissipates quickly. The aroma is sweet malt, roasted notes and faintly metallic. The taste is light/medium sweet and light bitter, grassy on the finish. Not bad really considering the moderate ABV, a wee bit watery but quite a pleasant taste.

Some banana in nose and mouth. Light toffee taste and hardly any bitterness but a little astringent. Commercial and just a notch over boring

12oz bottle 10/22/16 (Mix 12pk)-46į in Shaker-Pours brown with a small tan head. Aroma of malt, biscuit, and caramel. Taste of the same with a bit of metallic on the back end. This light to medium bodied brew is OK but still a bit lacking.

Pours up a clear copper brown, with a medium off white head. Very bready, toasty and super malty caramel taste. Soft to medium carbonation. Good balance, very easy to drink.

Pours brilliant gold brown. Aroma is caramel and nuts and forrest-feeling. This one is everywhere in Finland. Probably most popular British beer. Itís good but not that awesome that it would deserve some kind of monopoly. The taste is medium sweet and light bitter. Medium light body. The taste is watered caramel and spice and some butter. Hints of metallic character.

0,33l bottle. Clear deep copper colour with medium lastig stiff white head. Aroma: Grassy, hay with notes of candy sugar. Taste: Sweet malty start with light sour caracter and a sweet, also slightly bitter mouthfeel. Not bad but too watery for me. Light body with soft carbonation. Short sweet and watery finish. Not bad but too light.
