This one is probably the same as it has always been, but in this age of quality craft beers it comes up quite average. Poured a brown with red tinge, with small white head. You are greated with odd odors that are not very pleasant. Flavor is of malt and hops, with lots of nuts. By the end of the glass it started to taste bitter. This is another case of a famous ale that was once better than most but has not improved any, so is now way down the scale.

Aroma.. malts, caramel, decent hops
Quite sweet with low bitterness, low carbonation
Decent beer thou afterwards it turns bit boring and too sweet. Anyways. .drinkable

Very distinct flavour, caramel, nutty, a bit thin but easy to drink, nice ale for a sunny day.

Appearance: Proper brown-copper colouring with reasonable head (2cm) and retention. Consistant amount of lacing down the glass.
Aroma: Toasted malt, nuts, caramel, and toffee. Nice, but a little subdued.
Taste: Quite mild. Roasted nuts, malt, and treacle syrup. Hints of biscuit/bread flavour. Could do with a bit more ’rubustness’ to it.
Mouthfeel: A little bit thin, but not too carbonated (which is good).
Drinkability: Nice and easy to drink. Not the best ale, but decent. I have a soft spot for this beer, as it was the one to introduce my teen self to Ales.

A decent brown ale, though the price is ridiculous for a low-end, mass produced brew. 17.99 for a 12 pack? I enjoy this ice cold, very drinkable, but for that price, buy Smuttynose or Brooklyn Brown.

Brown, fairly low carbonated beer. Not much head. Aroma is a little malty, a little nutty. Taste is pretty good. Malt is definitely the biggest part of the taste ad well. Overall, not the best beer.

Did not have such high expectations for this beer and it was pretty mediocre. Bad with flavor and aroma. Nah, it’s tastier brown ale to drink.

12 oz clear bottle. I chose this beer at a sushi restaurant because I thought it was the best of their limited selection. Pours a clear brown with red highlights and a small off-white head. Aroma is totally skunked. Taste is totally skunked. If I wasn’t an alcoholic I wouldn’t have even finished it.
