Nutty , vanilla flavor emerged on first swallow, it had a nice silky mouthfeel and a carmelly taste towards the end. Better than American commercial.

Finally getting around to rating this. Sampled on draft. Clear brown beer with a decent white head and little lacing. Aroma reminds me of what I imagine nuts soaking in water would smell like. Sweet malty beer with hints of almond. Extremely watery. It’s hard to imagine that this was once my favorite beer.

Pours slightly foggy dark caramel with a thin tan head. Nose is malted and nutty, as is the flavor with a touch of esters and biscuit. Some toffee and caramel as well.

I can’t believe that I haven’t had this until now. The Guinness of brown ales. Very light, fruity flavor. Completely unoriginal.

Brown-reddish clear body. Brownish frothy head, fairly lacing and mostly lasting. Malty aroma. Lightly bitter-sweet flavour.

On tap. Pours an orange brown amber color. Tastes like stale nuts and beer. Not really my taste but still decent.

This is not a bad beer. So when one says that it means it is not a great one either. From the bottle it falls short. Nice coppery colour, but a bit lacking in both hop aroma and malt presence. It might be pasteurised but its pasthepalate that counts.
