Nice amber color and a little on the nutty side. Alongside Bass, this is another of my everyday beers. Nothing too exciting but solid and very refreshing.

Bottle. Pours a beautiful clear red color with a huge white head (the head may be because I had it at room temperature). Aroma is of caramel, bits of fruit and yeasty funk. Taste is of malt, hops, light fruits, caramel, sugar and ...dishwasher fluid. Thin body, nutty aftertaste. Just above average.

Dark red to brown colour, not much head. Some delicate dark fruit with basic ale type of smell. High carbonated, delicate taste with sweet malts and some dark fruits.

Newcastle, along with Smithwick’s and Guinness, has always been my #3 beer of choice. Aroma is nutty, hearty, with a good dose of caramel. Appearance is light to mid-brown in colour, minimal head in the pour, quite clear. Taste is nice and roasty without being burnt, tiny hint of sweet caramel, nutty. Palate is thin, carbonated without being over-carbonated, but not as good as it could be. Overall though, a delicious ale, one I reach for often.

50 cl can. 4,5 % Alc. from Rimi. Beige head and dark redish colour. Not much taste and aroma to be explored. Easy drinkable but nothing to write home about.

330 ml bottle, rated from backlog. Bright brown with beige head. Aroma with caramel and burnt sugar. Taste follows, caramel dominates followed by sugar and leather notes. Thin and a bit watery, lacks complexity. Me no like

Boa breja! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

330 ml bottle from Mo Jeaux’s. Brown and clear with an off-white head. The aroma is malts, caramel and nuts. Similar flavor with a light to medium body and a crisp feel. Not bad, haven’t had one in a while.

Light toffee on the nose, mild bitterness and fizziness, quite sweet. An iconic beer that’s pretty nice.

EtTuCthulhu (459) - Columbia, Missouri, USA - JUN 1, 2013
The aroma of this beer is quite skunky with hints of sweet dough yeast, and the appearance is a red brown color with a medium white head that fades quickly. The taste is mildly sour and mildly sweet, and the palate combines a medium body, thin and slick texture, soft carbonation, and a slightly sour finish.
