This is what it suggested for beginners to rate. This is what I thought newcastle was like from the choices available, but my real rating is as follows:
I belive Newcastle brown ale to be one of the finest beers I have ever drank. Every time this beer hits my lips a smile crosses my face. Fair price for this beer too. For a college kid its a delicacy. Englander1986 (51), Middlesbrough, England Nov 8, 2006 With me being a lad from North East England, I’ve grown up with this being my local drink, alongside Double Maxim Ale, and despite its reputation for being "fighting juice" it’s still one of my favourites. Sweet smell, with a caramel-like flavour. trusteasi (1), Greater Manchester, England does not count Jun 2, 2009 I think this beer is fantastic! It tastes rather wheaty. It is the only beer of its kind and it has won four gold awards which I think it deserves. It is 4.7% but it is rather deceptive. I have to admit I find this beer stronger than most 5% beers.
It’s the yen an’ anny!
