1.4 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 4/20
I used to have a Newkie brown back in the day, before I knew better, and choices were slim. It is red-brown in color, light in body and flavor. Clear bottles are always a bad idea. It is not exactly a good representation of English Ales, even though they are lighter in flavor than what craft beer drinkers are used to. The folks in Newcastle Upon Tyne were having a laugh when they exported this. Cheers mate!

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle at home. Medium to dark brown with nice off white head. Light caramel, brown bread, light grass and citrus. Light herbal bitter finish. Medium bodied. Very light aroma, there’s really nothing interesting here but it’s very drinkable.

3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Brown body and clean head. Very classic aroma, but not in the good sense I’m afraid. Grainy and simplistic, mass produced appeal. Taste is better, very drinkable and not without bitterness.

2.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
12 oz. bottle from Trader Joe’s. I don’t mind a brown ale, even a mass produced one. Unfortunately this one has a metallic bubble gum sort of sweet taste that I find nauseating. Oh well!

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Brown & reddish color with small unsteady head. Aroma is very thin, malty, with light notes of caramel. Taste is light sweet, malty. Watery texture. Very drinkable. Finish is short. Fine, but expected more.

Fin nok - et godt alternativ til en pilsner. Meget flot når den er hældt op i glasset. Sød smag...

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle. Amber Brown, no head; Woody spice aroma with some raisin fruitiness; Light bodied and smooth; More sultanas on the palate, gingerbread also. In short, not the most flavourful beer ever, but very drinkable.

Pretty good for a commercial beer, some bitterness, nut aroma and flavours, so waterly and sessionable, drinkability is so easy. A good one for me, i try to find this one for a long timE. Maybe a summer beer, to be onest
