Newcastle Brown Ale was first brewed in 1927 in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, England, by Jim Porter after three years of development. Production moved from Newcastle to Gateshead at the end of 2004 and to Tadcaster on closure of the Dunston brewery in 2010.

dunkelrot-braun, klar mit wenig beständigem Schaum. Das Bier ist malzig, süß, leicht nussig. Wenig bitter, etwas wässrig, aber durchaus trinkbar.

UPDATED: MAY 30, 2015 0,33 liter bottle. Comes out brown ( as the package already stated ). How they bring the product is great. I was excited like a kid. Then I tasted it and felt like I was scammed. Tastes like water from a light rusty pipe... Expect real, real, real light beer taste with some metallic and light, light, light caramel sweet. Quit dissapointing.

Zoals de naam al doet vermoeden, een bruin bier, bij uitschenken een grote schuimkop, die binnen mum van tijd verdwenen is. Smaak is te vergelijken met een standaard pils, beetje smakeloos.

330 ml bottle. Pours a clear nutty brown with a thin, short lived tan head. Mild malty aroma with caramel. Sweet flavour of malt and caramel with a slight metallic, bitter finish. Light body with a watery texture and soft carbonation.

Aroma: Nuts, light sweetness Appearance: Brown, small head Taste: Sweet, no bitterness, nothing much, a bit watery, aroma is slightly better. Palate: Nothing in back, maybe a bit more sweetness? I highly prefer Samuel Smith’s over this. Just as findable with much more flavor

Bottle. Pours a clear copper brown colour with a thin white head. Aroma of sweet grain, nuts, some chocolate and herbal hops. Taste of grain, nuts, cola, watery caramel, some brown sugar and herbal hops. Medium bodied and moderate carbonation. A bittersweet, nutty finish. This is a sweet, mass produced brown ale that isn’t as good as craft brown ales, but it’s my choice when I’m in a pub with no decent beer. Average but best of a bad bunch.

Pours clear, brown (duh). Light tan head. Aroma is initially the mild skunkiness you tend to get from fuggles, which dissipates quickly to more or less nothing. Medium body, sweet middle, dry finish. Flavor is mostly malt. Pretty unexceptional. It works and is reliably this way, but it’s easy to find far more interesting things.
